Should see their forums.. bunch of entitled whiny bitches complaining directly to the company that gave it to them.
Super short too.. I remember I had a friend come over and we played it the day I got it. He left about an hour later and I backed out to the menu, it was then I realized I was at 40% completion. Luckily I have a connection that works at MS and they get games for half price.. it was worth $30.
Looks like an answer to the article's subject of accessibility. The max level in Destiny is 20, after that you're simply leveling up gear which you can buy from the vendors. Then find some friends or use some of the sites for matchmaking raids, and you're officially doing the same thing that players who started on day 1 are doing.
Still not sure why this mentality exists. Both are making money and both are selling products. Neither company is going bankrupt or in danger of doing so. Everybody wins.. Sony, Microsoft, and us gamers.
I never did play the NES version of Metal gear, but I did start at MGS on ps1, still one of my favorite games to date.
Just an opinion here, but the voice acting for Knack himself (itself?) seemed odd. Like the voice didn't match the character. But I only played it part of the way through, then traded it in.. maybe someday I'll gamefly it back and finish it but I've never quite had the impulse or desire to do so.
And if you're lucky 25% of them might work!
Forget about this game, it is vaporware at it's finest. Hell I'd wager we see Half Life 3 before we see TLG.
It's worth $30. Look it's a flawed game, but the gameplay itself handles very well.. you'll be hard pressed to find a shooter that refined. I'd just wait for a deal on the DLC as well, as it's priced very high for it's content. I'm still playing Destiny pretty heavily though, moreso than the rest of my games.
Indeed.. I think to-date I've bought 4 exotics engrams with Motes of Light, and yet to receive one that is for my primary class. I made a Hunter alt to receive all the ill-received gains, and warlock is up next as I've received a few legendary and exotics pieces for that class as well.
Really hope in Destiny 2 they plan to address the randomness of loot, or they're going to lose a lot of non-returning players.
Seems good to me, I get matched up for strikes and crucible. Definitely better with friends since there's no matchmaking for raids/weekly, but the game is definitely worth $20. Heck the first DLC costs $20 and it only adds 3 missions, a strike, and the raid.. and some crucible maps.
Both arguments have good points, but I'll favor the article writers' opinion on this. Driveclub was delayed to resolve issues, so publishing it as a finished product at a full price is their way of saying it's 'finished'. It's one thing to have a glitch or three, but the scope of issues it experienced at launch also gave the impression it should've been delayed longer.
Much like Halo:MCC, it was greed that pushed them to release a faulty product early.....
for $400 it should've had a built-in working Pip Boy. Maybe I don't know the value of watches these days, but back when I still wore mine I'd still look at my phone for the time.
It would've been a good solution to the weekly/nightfall debacle as well.. make those a queue so if you got the DLC you can get the new one(s), and if not you get the original ones.
Bingo.. TLG is vapor-ware. Exists as a pipe-dream talking point, but as soon as anyone thinks it's going to be announced or teased.. nothing.
It's already been beaten. http://kotaku.com/it-took-s...
It's sold out already. Resume your panic.
Well that's a fairly true statement, but the article is also correct. It's a very bad time to upgrade anything, or do bounties to level things up. Handing in exotics for new versions wipes their xp, and legendary items are going to be outdated by newer legendaries that also use the same components to upgrade. Not to mention the money (glimmer) cost involved and the seemingly low cap on maximum glimmer. It's not hard to make, but it's not particularly quick either.
The ONLY gripe I can agree with is the fact that there's no benefit to upgrading a maxed out exotic vs a brand new one. I think they need to either require an exotic be maxed out to upgrade it, or give out something (be it ascendant material or whatever), or a partial xp carryover to the new version.
Beyond that, you're exactly right.. i'd much rather re-level my helm than leave it behind and deal with getting a new one and then still needing to level it up.
I played this in beta on PC so it's been a while, but it was an empty, boring, lifeless game. I'd be happier if they shut down their servers and tried making a decent game instead.
