It is a shame what happened to Destiny. I remember when I bought Destiny 1 complete edition on the PS4 a few years ago. It was easy to follow and catch up to the end game within a reasonable amount of time and I had a blast. I remember doing missions with my friends from work and even made a few online.

Good times. It is a shame Destiny 2 came out less than a year later at $60. After that happened the player population in Destiny 1 took a dip and it wasn't worth playing...

That monkey arms power-up gave me a workout. It took me a few tries but I got it done.

Something tells me that all new high-budget games will support the AI frame-gen tech, so rasterized performance will only matter on lower-budget or older PC games.

I am happy that the only card that saw a price increase is the RTX 5090. I am looking at building a PC featuring the RTX 5070 either at the end of the year or early next year. It is possible to get something just a little over $1000 today so the prices may improve down the line.

The only negative I see here is that Nvidia has secured their dominance for the next 2 years because all the other AI frame gen tech are trying to compete with Nvidia's last-gen dlss and not the...

This may not be an attractive option for Xbox or PC players. Especially if the price exceeds $100.

The Xbox series controller is already good enough for PC gaming and on sale the wireless controller goes for $50. The stick drift issue isn't even that prevalent on Xbox. The dual sense controller is $50 when on sale and even the MSRP of $70-$80 will be more attractive since it has all the other features.

PC players who do competitive gaming would more ...

Well deserved. I unlocked the last of the trophy's from the speed run levels yesterday and mostly had a great time. I think Sony needs to tone down on the live service investments and invest in more AA projects.

I think this is true and there is also the fact that VR gaming is seldomly endorsed by mainstream gaming websites and YT content creators. Infact some has said they will not support VR.

They are doing the gaming community a disservice because there are some really great flat screen to VR mods out there.

So far I have tried Half life 2 episode 1 & 2 and Risk of Rain 2.

Resident Evil 2,3, 7 and 8 all have VR mods and I will be tryin...

This is good news for the future of VR. There were nearly as much users as steam deck users based on the statistics. I was also very active with steam VR in December.

I am aware that is why I want to control which games use the feature. It will be a boon for the single player titles but it is detrimental to multiplayer games and ends up taking longer to get in game vs starting up from scratch.

I personally don't use rest mode because it doesn't work with multiplayer games, it is a waste of electricity and if I'm playing a single player game, the loading time isn't so long that I need to consider rest mode. If Sony can enable quick resume like what is on the Xbox, it will be welcomed but I want to choose which games use the feature.

It's unfortunate but are in the age of greed. OfCourse people would be turned off by them running 3 battle passes concurrently.

"It has little to do with power and everything to do with complex architecture. It is also one thing for a YouTuber to release a few vids of select games running, it is completely another for a company to release a commercial product which must be completely reliable."

This is an interesting spin, but Sony has already proven that this reason is not true. If this were the case, then the PS2 emulation on PS5 wouldn't have had so many issues at launch and the ful...

Remember when Android phones locked version upgrades to each generation of phone as a tactic to boost sales? Well now with increased competition, we are now seeing the biggest brands for each phone generation getting 4-6 years' worth of version updates.

Competition is important and PC gamer brand loyalty is partly to blame. No matter how much AMD cards come down in price and how good the price to performance was, they still overwhelmingly buy Nvidia because that is what...

That looks to be a massive jump in performance. It is also the best type of upgrade where you will truly see the difference.

I didn't buy it, or SF 6 or Tekken for 2 reasons. I prefer to buy those games when all the characters have been released in an ultimate type edition. I am not a fan of paying a high up front cost only to be drop fed content over a few years while being charged for it.

This leads into my second issue. Because I wait to play these games, all the persons who are at my level have stopped playing by the time I pick the game up. If I decide to start playing online, I will be...

Why is the DEI term being missused these days? I am not sure if I am misunderstanding the community but from what I understand, negative reaction are from persons who don't want to see LGBTQ in their games.

Personally, I believe that stuff should be available to those who go looking for it unless it plays a key or adds value to the story. For the majority, that content shouldn't be forced in the main quest line.

MI favorite power up is the bull dog. Smashing through obstacles with perfect timing made for a good time. Many others game in at a close second. There are some power ups that were missing are in the pack in game but not in the full game such as the Gatling gun. It would have been great to have that available to mow down hordes of enemies.

I remember when bile and nursing spewers were so bad that if a drop of bile touches you, you die. They even made them armored at higher difficulties. To me those were S tier especially when they spawn in groups.

I would love to see age of empires or any other rts game in mixed reality. Imagine seeing the entire rts map that on your table in mixed reality. Where you command your units with hand gestures to clear the fog of war, gather units and expand your territory.

I wish they would leave the live service stuff to the 3rd parties and invest more in AA experiences so we have something to play in-between the big releases. They are going in the wrong direction by spending resources on live service games and keeping select 3rd party games off the Xbox.
