I will be keeping an eye out for this one. I watched the anime adaptation of this franchise a few years ago and the story was great. It also had some of the most traumatic scenes I have ever seen in an anime. Very graphic and gory.

I bought an Xbox partly to try Sunset overdrive and believe me when I tell you, you are not missing anything over there on playstation. The game feels dated, and the story makes very little sense. There is a reason you don't see many Xbox gamers boasting about Sunset overdrive.

If you really want to try it, you can get gamepass or if you have a PC, you can get it on Steam for $5 right now. Here are the minimum specs.

Uncharted 1 feels dated though. Maybe if it got the remake that was originally planned before they cancelled it.

If only gamers will reject those high prices for gaming. If the 5080 is going to be $1500 then the 5070Ti will likely be about $1000 or more depending on the tariffs. Maybe if the RTX 5080 and 5090 cards flop Nvidia will come to their senses.

AMD does have an opportunity here to offer their line of cards at a more affordable rate, but history shows they always fumble with the pricing. I hope AMD will consider releasing sub $500 cards with decent performance.

Where have you received confirmation that Sony and Nintendo will use Hall Effect sticks in next gen controllers?

523d ago 3 agree0 disagreeView comment

I have both controllers so I can give an informed opinion on the pros and cons of each. I placed an asterisk beside the ones that are technically a pro or con but subjective.

Dual sense pros:

- Haptic feedback and adaptive triggers for the handful of games that fully utilize it is a treat for gamers.
- The built-in mic can be a boon for persons who don't want to have a headset on their head.
- The touch screen on the controller can a...

The only next gen feature that needs to be in the next Xbox controller is a touch screen and hall effect sticks. I have 3 dual sense controllers. The launch white model, Galactic purple and cosmic Red. All 3 of them got the stick drift. I was able to mod them with Hall Effect sticks after buying a heat gun, but my launch controller died since I struggled to desolder those potentiometers for a year with a soldering gun.

My series X controllers haven't started to drift as...

I agree. My tolerance for console gaming is being tested. I unsubscribed from PS Plus when they raised the price to $80 per year and made it so that 3rd party sellers can't sell the subscription. The pricing of digital console games is also a rip off compared to their physical or PC counterpart. There is pricing parity between some digital titles on steam and consoles, but some Devs will sell international steam keys on 3rd party sites at a lower price to avoid paying Valve the 30%.

I haven't played a COD campaign since MW3. This type of game multiplayer wise is not for me. When I was younger I did like to play competitive games online but now I prefer PvE games like Warframe and Helldivers 2. For me it is more relaxing to play with other people instead of against them.

I agree with this article. While there are some issues that didn't exist back in the day such as broken games on release, live service trend chasing, fighters releasing with a small roster only to double it with Micro transactions, free to play business models showing up in buy to play games.

Gaming has moved forward in many areas and the titles that stand out usually raises the bar by a significant margin. The author is also correct about people needing to go outside ...

I think the Ocarina of Time was the better of the 2 Zelda games that came out on the N64. It was so good that I beat the game multiple times, unlocked all the hearts, found all the items including Biggoron's sword. I also followed fake rumors about how to have link unlock all the Tri force on his palm but going back if that were possible, the story wouldn't have made sense.

I haven't played Tears of the Kingdom yet, but I loved Breath of the Wild. I enjoyed it s...

Ff15 was a missed opportunity from square as they transitioned from turn based to real time.

One of the issues is that it was 30 fps. The combat mechanics required precision dodges to activate Noctis teleport ability and it was difficult to do at 30 fps. I am glad they rectified that in FF16. The story and flow also felt like it went through a chopshop similar to how some live service games end up when they are trying to meet a deadline. Those extra episodes they sold as d...

It's good that Microsoft is finally seeing some success. I am also glad to see that Astro Bot got a boost. I just played the Christmas planet this morning and it felt like a breath of fresh air.

I agree the knuckle levels were the worst part of the game. It broke the flow of the gameplay and the music was off for a sonic game. It felt like those knuckle levels were made by a different dev.

The Sonic and tails levels, however, were awesome. The multiplayer mode was interesting and my brother and I spent hours

What I got from this are how when misused AI can produce an inferior product and destroy the livelihoods of creators.

I am not all in about video games being Art because video games have been 100% made by humans in the last 40 years and the experiences like what the author described in RDR2 are few and far between with even fewer titles breaking out of the predefined mold for that genre to play it safe. When it boils down to it, not all games would fall into this art catego...

Going by what the article says. The majority of the playtime is from long running live service multiplayer games. This is understandable because most single player games are one and done experiences.

I took a look at my own playtime and each year, Warframe dominates my playtime because after a days work, it is easy to just pick up the controller and unwind with that game. I am sure this is the same for the people that boot up COD, GTA, Fortinite, Diablo, Helldivers, Dota, L...

How would reducing the drive space from 2 TB to 1 TB and keeping Wifi6 in the PS5 pro impact the performance?

Those are expensive components and the budget of those could have gone towards a better CPU while keeping the same GPU the PS5 Pro currently has.

So let me get this straight. You are fine with getting less for your money when there was a way for you to get more for that $700?

There are some titles that struggle to reach a locked 60 fps because of this CPU limitations and some titles that looks visually worst that the base PS5 because of the developer's poor implementation of PSSR. The more power inside the PS5 pro means, less issues from devs and a better product for you the consumer.

Don't...
