I believe if Xbox was remastering and remaking older games, they would be in a better position right now. Through their acquisitions, they have a large catalog of great games that are limited to 30 fps and low resolutions. If those games could be upgraded to 60 or 120 fps on the series x, it would have gone a long way to fill in the gaps during their gaming droughts.

It is not a live service game so it will lose players. If we take a look at Dragon ball sparking zero which released recently, the last update has the game's 24 hr peak is 10853 on a weekend even though it sold over 3m copies at launch.

I don't know how much the components inside the console cost, but I think there are a few compromises Sony could have taken with the Pro to make it more accessible. For example, do we need wifi 7 in a gaming console? I haven't even installed a wifi 6 router as yet.
There may also be other things in the PS5 Pro Sony added as value to try to justify the price, but how many persons will take advantage of those features?
If that console is walled off in the Xbox ecosystem then there is NO incentive to buy it.

I bought the game on PS4 but stopped because the game offered little to no challenge. I dropped it and picked it up again on PS5 a few months ago. That was when I realized that it was locked to 30 fps and uninstalled it.
It would be great if Microsoft could find some way to release an update to set both Spyro and Crash Team racing to 60 fps and beyond.
I forgot about this game after it was revealed to be 30 fps. That revelation killed all the hype and interest I had in this game.
