This is another urban myth story. Replaced RRoD units are not counted as a sale as long as they are under warranty. And the warranty was extended to 3 years, so a VERY tiny fraction bought a Xbox 360 twice and even less because of RRoD.

The Vita is dead in the West for some time now. It died last holiday season.

It is the week after the price cut guys. This is actually a bad sign for things to come.
Soul Sacrifice might keep the sales going for antother 2 weeks or so but in April you will see the Vita below 25k again.
45k is still poor after a $50 / $100 price cut.
Heck the 3DS outsells the PS Vita almost 2:1 the week after the price cut.
Let's see how sustainable these sales are.

Mid April would be a good time to announce the new console IMO. Show some features, specs and 3-4 games, build hype for E3 2013 and show all you got. I bet Sony and MS will do the exact same thing.
