"PSN dominated by two stick shooters"??? Try Flower, Flow,Echocrome, Siren, Wipeout HD, Savage Moon, Pixel Junk Monsters, Pain, to name but a few, what a tool.
@ultimolu
"So when 360 faithfuls flail around with their own set of hypocrisy, PS3 fans are supposed to stay back and not say a word, right?"
That's exactly right..why lower yourself??
Fair enuff
Look I'm as happy as the next guy, I know better sales equals increased support but I just find it funny how some of the hardcore in here will dismiss sales rants from the "opposition"and then jump on the bandwagon when the roles reverse. Perhaps nobody has equated sales to a better product but they will.
Hey I thought us PS3 fans "played games not sales"...oh the jaded hypocrisy.
"Drake has to work with a new companion called Tenzin – a Tibetan villager" a little nod to Tenzing Norgay I think. And from looking at the Gurkha knife on his back I'd say he is actually a Nepalese villager.
Really good ad, great concept and excellent casting. I don't really see what people are finding creepy or high concept about this.
The purtiest style I've seen in a long time. I hope it gets a worldwide release.
The spotlight will certainly be on Kratos, not only will GOW3 have to live up to, and surpass, its predecessors, now it will have two very promising action adventure titles to be measured against. I'm sure Santa Monica is more than up the task.
Although I doubt my cash flow will be, this could be the first time I'll be buying a new game for three months in a row.
I don't have a problem with the Irish hard drinking stereotype, it is a national pastime after all..but that faux Irish accent is an abomination. I'm sure statesiders will lap up the paddy whackery, however no Irish person would be able to sit through this game without cringing.
Should read...
"Konami has revealed at Gamescom that several existing characters in the upcoming Lord of Shadows have had their names changed to Belmont to further shoehorn this title into the Castlevania franchise"
This game looks like it will be a class act but I'm still holding out some hope for a PSN/XBL HD 2D announcement from Iga at the Tokyo game show, wouldn't that be lovely.
"Also, note all the fun things it doesn't come with, like component cables and ethernet cables. What a deal!"
Now that really is pathetic nitpicking. A 120gb hardrive, wi-fi enabled gaming machine with a plethora of multimedia functions and a blu-ray player to boot, for $299?! What a deal!
The game looks pretty good but it certainly needs that head start to contend with GOW 3.
Most likely the EU video store, fingers crossed.
It looks unique, a rare quality in gaming these days. Look forward to hearing more about this one. I'm glad Demons Souls worked out well for these guys, its nice to have some 3rd party exclusive support for the PS3.
@parapraxis......no its not a rumour confirmed, its the exact same information that was posted back then. check the dates on the relevant sources. As for what the feck I'm talking about? It seems a litlle easy to get everyone hyped up with old news as they are salivating over sonys press con tomorrow, kids do it everytime, expect miracles and find themselves seriously disappointed.
51 comments on 3 year old news? Can someone explain..or as a Sony fan should I bleet along with the fanboy sheep? Embarrassing stuff.
eh..this was news back in April of 2006?! ign and many others reported this. Pre gamescon clutching at straws? Hardly necessary given the imminent price drop. This site gets worse by the day.
Look its like this Bruce, you are always late to the party, bringing us yesterdays news with a tired old perspective that can be found on countless blogs around the net.
Most of the mature readers in here are not so much put off by any perceived bias you may harbor for one company or the other, but rather the fact that we can learn a lot more from professional media types, who curb their bias and can actually write a decent informative piece. Your outdated buddy.
"I have done this and you have not"...
That's a pretty big assumption old boy, considering you have no idea who I am.
You referred to the 360's elegance in the context of the expense to produce the console, not in regards to game development. You call people out as fanboys, and yet you are consistently slanted in your articles.
Would you consider a cheap PS3 sans, HD, Wi-fi and a Blu-Ray player to be a more "elegant" design? Because ...
I'm shocked, a movie license tie-in that actually looks really good!
Can't wait to play as the Native Americ...I mean aliens and slaughter some colonial land stealing ass. Gotta love them Sci-Fi historical allegories.
