Months later ElementX and you are still banging on about inFAMOUS and its jaggies. Its getting tiring at this stage..."AA, jaggies, jaggies, oh and did I happen to mention, for no apparent reason, that I'm gay?"
Its ok, we get it, you don't like jaggies and you don't like the peach-fish, marvelous, I'm delighted for you.
Killzone 3 needs a boss battle against Rico, I'd pay 60 yo-yo's just to shoot that F;$k wit in the face.
"It does make a difference. I know for a fact it makes a difference to you and everyone else. We read from left to right, so the very first thing you see is the 9 in $9.99."
I understand the psychology behind it just fine, but you don't know anything for a "fact" about me or "everyone" , that just comes off as arrogant. I'm bombarded with TV adverts everyday, featuring products I may or may not be interested in..I personally cannot recall the last ti...
Thanks Karum for stating the obvious..are you trying to rub someones nose in it? eh ;-)
But you are right, they are all great games and it was a great year..I didn't have to buy one multi platform game to keep myself busy, the spacing between the exclusives was pitched perfectly.
G4TV really do love the PS3 exclusives, inFAMOUS, Resistance 2, Killzone 2, Uncharted 2 and now Ratchet and Clank all received nothing but praise and adoration from them.
Sessler really knows how to write a game review, other hacks should take note.
@Cenobia..but does that 1c really make a difference to intelligent people? 9.99 is 10 dollars to me and anyone with half a brain.
I gotta laugh at all you guys calling them out over the insignificant .1 from a 9. Why the hell does it matter so much to you? Its still a great score. This generation and their AAA nonsense. Anything 80+ is a solid title and all you need to know after that is whether or not the game's style, tone, gameplay etc. is to YOUR taste.
@Kalowest
You enjoy your one game while I continue to enjoy all of the "boring" games you listed. It must be hard having such high standards, please forgive me my low brow vices, I know no better.
I want an entire campaign from the Helghast perspective!
Here's the plot; The Helghast have mobilised a counter attack on Vetka, they crush all the ISA forces in one fell swoop, all except for a clone army based on Rico's DNA. For the next 25 levels you get to kill Rico's likeness over and over and over again!! I'm telling you now I would never get bored of killing that idiot repeatedly..simply the biggest as*hole in gaming history. I think the final battle should be with Rico hi...
"A Boy and his Blob"...I'm as baffled as you!
@Drummer and Sarcasm..congratulations, I thought referring to ODST as "a next gen behemoth" was a strong enough clue. As the old saying goes "sarcasm is the lowest form of wit"...and yet it still manages to sail right over the collective heads of N4G.
Dear Sony is it true that Jack Tretton's mother had a tumultuous affair with an oily Albanian fishmonger, which was very much the talk of the town, back in 1976?
Yes I f8ckin' knew it.
Hey N4G look at this for news...Sony said...NOTHING.
Glitches?? In the almighty Uncharted 2?! Obviously rushed out too early to compete with the next gen behemoth that is ODST! Epic fail, wow just wow, 360 FTW etc. etc.
;-)
I bought this dud hoping that outside of the p*ss poor interactivity that it would function as a nice quirky music visualizer. I couldn't believe that the auto play was only available as a demo and that to play your own music you had to control the actions. At the end of the day, I would gladly pay for a new music visualizer as the PS3 is my living room entertainment hub but .detuned disappoints on every level. A waste of time and money for all involved.
It would be great to see inFAMOUS 2, Resistance 3 and Killzone 3 in 2010..but I'd rather see none of those titles until 2011 if it means rushing them out the gates.
Its a game for little kids, do you really think they weigh up metascores before tormenting mummy and daddy to buy them a game? Maybe they wait and see what Edge will score it?? Get real, the only reason this game will flop is because of the PS3 older demographic. Games like these wont sell well until the PS3 is at the 199 price point, which is a long way off.
Very interesting, the game took three years to develop, given all the hurdles they had to overcome and their initial lack of vision I'd be pretty confident that we can expect the sequel come holiday season 2010.
Brian Fleming already stated that there was a wealth of ideas that never made it into inFamous, Nate Fox has been quoted recently saying that Sucker Punch are developing game content at a speed and skill level never before realised by their studio, and with the engine and...
Yep, they are selling it without the camera.
I noticed Yoshimitsu has quite a few new moves, I know its sad, but as a Tekken fan that reason alone has sold the game to me.
