@Wizziokid
I admit, I didn't read it and I probably should before I mouth off about it. But this is N4G and the sheer amount of blog nonsense that gets posted up in here, asking fruitless questions or just simply stoking the fires of flame wars, has made me more than a little wary.
Apologies for my unfounded pigheadedness.
A word of warning for the faint of heart..this site hosts a portrait of that infamous joker in a jumper..Bruce on Games. I hate getting riled up at this hour of the morning but god I wanna smack him.
"Is There TOO Much Focus On Multiplayer in Games Today?"
So sick of wishy washy articles that contain question marks. If you have an opinion, state it, don't go asking me for the answers.
Oh I can hardly wait to find out what happens to Alex next, its tough not invest some real emotion in a protagonist as charismatic and fleshed out as Mr.Mercer.
Seriously though, dreadful story and A**hole character aside it's a fun game, I own it and only played it for a few hours before I returned to a certain other game to play as evil but I'll definitely get back to finishing it some time over the Winter months.
@Ultimolu
"...PS3.
2 years and still going strong.
PS1, still working.
PS2-10 years and counting"
I've had exactly the same experience with my PS products, never a problem over the years, but that proves nothing.
Four of my friends had to have their PS3's sent in for repairs due to disk read problems and that's out of the nine PS3 owners I know. For a long time I believed that the PS3 was 98% reliable but based ...
One dirty little word that never gets mentioned when it comes to singing the PS3's multimedia praises is...piracy. I can download full length movies directly from the internet onto the xmb, also the ability to copy direct from USB based devices is a great bonus. Am I correct in believing that only music from CD can be ripped onto the 360 HD?
Picking this up for sure, I've been considering playing them again but couldn't be arsed digging out the PS2, plus a little graphical/performance overhaul is always welcome.
In Ireland the Elite has been dropped to 250 euros, that's a 70usd price difference between the Elite and the Slim, MS will do just fine in Europe as long as they can keep the price gap so big, there will always be someone looking for the cheaper option. As for the US, I think MS have a serious slog on their hands.
Now this is the type of advertising and slogan we have all been asking for. SCEE really still haven't got it right with their "start PS3" nonsense.
"It only does everything" is pretty much the type of comment the PS3 has elicited from all my non gamer friends while witnessing it in action. It may be a gaming machine first and foremost but at that price point its certainly a viable purchase as a straight up home entertainment centre.
I still think that there is a chance we will see something from Iga at the TGC. The Castlevania teaser featuring Alucard last year has not had a mention since but I think there would be room in the market for a classic 2.5D HD Metroidvania released on PSN/XBL. Lack of mainstream demand has always been the excuse for not doing a next gen 2D Castlevania, but with the current trend for old skool HD remakes there has never been a better time for Konami to take the plunge.
@Castags
I'm joking with ya..I'm just bitter at the moment because my Samsung 46" screen kicked the bucket last week and I'm stuck watching a 10yr old 28" CRT until I get the guts to pull an "accidental" insurance scam to get the LCD fixed, its 750 euro for the part alone!
"Any suggestions on a 32"
Eh..maybe add 10" to it. ;-)
He "SOLD" his old PS3 to his parents..god I cant wait to have grateful kids like him.
A less cumbersome way to browse music and that's me sorted, everything else is perfect.
I could be mature and fair in my comment but all I can say is
WOOOOHOOOO!! That's cheered me right up!
Ya gotta love the 2nd comment on that page..
"Sony has some nice games coming out. I'd love for them to create a God of War 3 PS3 version"
Well we can safely assume this guy doesn't spend his days in here.
Folklore was excellent, great mood, storyline and creature design but the loading screens were an incredible pain and really broke up the experience. I think Siren was a very underrated title, few recent titles get close to the pure survival horror mechanics of that game..playing as the little girl was super disturbing.
Thanks Bob, that ad was amazing.
I'm pretty sure I visited this gaming world before, something about loneliness, a horse and puncturing the skulls of flailing giants comes to mind.
In fairness though, it does have the Folklore vibe going on too, that creature looks great.
Edit: I just saw the trailer for this game, The Last Guardian has a friend.
Here be the gametrailers HD version

Justice is a strange choice of score for the video but it actually fits quite well.
