@ECM0NEY and @Caleb_141
You guys completely don't understand what you're talking about. You think that because the PC has no aim assist, consoles shouldn't either. Aim assist has been in EVERY FPS on consoles since Halo 1 - EVERY ONE. This is because its nearly impossible to aim with a controller without it - you just normally don't even know it's going on. (As an experiment, try loading up a Halo game where everyone is on the same team ...
You guys make me want to play the game again! I know if I bought this one though I would have the same love/hate relationship with it. I guess it just comes down to me not having the time for a game that's so punishing and requires such commitment (I work 2 jobs).
Ug, I was hoping for, you know, a point to the game by the release... not more "wolves". I guess Notch knows I will still play his game til all hours of the night whether it has a point or not.
I thought I'd love Demon souls but there were two problems with it that are obviously still in here. First, I didn't like the brooding atmosphere everywhere - I felt like I was playing a survival horror game. Like he said, it actually effects your mental well being after a while and I'm not the type of player that likes that. If you do, I understand - just not my thing.
However, I think the other problem is a REAL problem. The so called difficulty of the game ...
If horse armor isn't on this list I don't even want to read it.
The gyroscope for camera control does not work at all - I've tried games that tried that and the controls are near impossible. The truth is, they are BOTH right. The poor launch of the system is due to the price point and poor game selection, but no modern game system has any business launching without the ability to have the far superior modern controls (using the stylus obscures your view, makes holding it ackward, and limits the buttons you can press), and that would have seriously h...
If you're the type of person that buys all the DLC, there's no question that it's NOT a rip off, as you get it all but more often and for less than if you bought it individually. But then you have to ask yourself if the DLC is a rip off.....
"People who say I want dedicated servers. Other people say I don't."
Lol, oops! Horrible example Dude! I think the "people" he's referring to here all have one thing in common - their name is Bobby Kotick!
Example of PR spin FAIL.
This is how I'd explain it. First off, anyone could survive a pit of fire and crawl out pretty damaged but still alive - just ask Darth Vader ;) Seriously though, I think it would be cool if Ghost was Gaz from MW1 (who had the same voice actor). In MW1, he get shot in the head near the end. Well, what if he barely survived that one encounter and got a metal plate in his head as a result, which ironically SAVED him from death with the second bullet to the head in MW2? That would be a n...
Ooooh! Ico and Shadow of the Collosus! Forgot about that one. I'm going to dare to be different and say MW3. I know everyone's afraid to admit if they like the game, but I'll be the daring one and say I do! Sure, it might be more of the same, but I still play MW2 online and I'm sure I'll be playing MW3 for years to come.
No, you weren't listening - he specifically said that it was all about you and your gun, instead of perks and killstreaks, not instead of teammates. He was specifically addressing the complaint that killstreaks and some perks were overpowered in MW2.
I would suggest waiting for actual details to be released on multiplayer before judging whether the game will be good, but my guess is you've already made up your mind.
@Neckbear
In the very same breath you could say anyone who actually looks at the positives of a game that is actually very well made and thinks about buying it despite it being popular to bash due to letting down people's high expectations is a "fanboy".
In all reality, CoD games are very good games and even though they do have their flaws and they are exploited yearly by Activision, there still isn't any game out there that does non-vehicle modern...
I have to agree with Carlos and Hatiko here. Yes, it's undeniable that the graphics and sounds in BF3 are incredible and definitely better than MW3 and probably any other game I've ever seen. On the other hand, I still am more interested in MW3 because, well, it just looks more fun, and that's more important than looking amazing to me.
That's always been my problem with BF - it tries too hard to be real and real war can be quite boring (after you take out ...
It is free Spartacus, just like Battlefield. Don't post without reading the article.
This article is specifically to explain that everything that's in every other service (Bungie.net) is free here, plus more like groups. The only thing that costs money is if you want to be a premium member, which will probably offer something similar to Bungie.net (a larger file share and video rendering). In other words, they are offering a service probably better than anything ...
Holy Freak people! READ THE FRICKIN ARTICLE! It IS free! Everything you are protesting is already free! JUST CLICK THE LINK AND READ BEFORE YOU DO SOMETHING STUPID!
I am giving everyone here that says they are upset because they are charging for stat tracking one less bubble for being poor members of N4G who come to articles just to attack Activision for their incorrect assumptions and not even reading the articles.
You are protesting something awesome ...
True. True. It's so "politically incorrect" to support a CoD game on N4G. I'll give you a bubble just for having the nerve to state the truth and go against the popular opinion.
I get tired of the lack of innovation in the CoD series and bugs and glitches, but at the same time, as upset as I get, nothing else is coming out that has the same level of quality other than the Battlefield series, and vehicle combat isn't my cup of tea. I like small infant...
I'll second that. Valve is about the only video game company that I can still love out there. As long as they stay the awesome fan-serving company they are, I'll never stop buying their games.
So sick of comments like these. Why can't we foster a community of friendship at N4G instead of immaturity?
I agree about Killzone 3, but it's obvious you have not played a few of those games you mentioned all the way through on single player. Halo Reach had a pretty good story and characters (not the best, but still better than most other FPS's) and Black Ops... well, I think Black Ops was easily one of the 5 best single player campaigns ever in an FPS. It was really outstanding - the characters and ESPECIALLY the story. The twists near the end blew my mind. Saying Black Ops had a gener...
Freaking awesome review. I'm not sure if I'd give it as low a score as 6 (I suppose that all depends on whether you would like a BFBC2 clone with fresh paint), but everything you said in your review could not be more honest or spot on. To my mind, you took off the sheep/hype glasses and gave a very honest rendition of the game's strengths and faults.
