I still believe if Pokemon Switch is a new gen, then we won’t see it until late 2019 at the earliest. Pokemon gens are never less than 3 years apart, and Sun and Moon are only a year old. Metroid I imagine is still in early development. We’ll likely see games like TLoU 2 and Death Stranding launch before Metroid, which is saying something about far off it is.

Of course any PS fan in the right mind wants a PS5 at some point, but we don’t need it for a couple years at least; Xbox fans are the ones trying to start rumors it’s coming out next year because “Sony is shaking in their wee little boots at the thought of the X”. Reality is, most of don’t give a crap, and PS5 can come out and destroy Xbox again whenever it’s ready to do so.
The only people hoping for a PS5 soon are Xbox fans who want to believe Sony is somehow threatened by MS’s $500 Faux K Netflix box. It’s a fanboy ego thing. It destroys them to see so much success fron PS4 and an ever growing PS community, while MS is having to resell new hardware to people who already own 3 or 4 Xbones, while begging for cross play so their XBL community doesn’t dwindle and die lol.
Nintendo doesn’t seperate the device’s whenever they announce figures, so yes it’s a lump sum.
PS4 was going outsell 3DS this year, regardless. 3DS’s numbers have been dwindling for the last few years. 3DS sold < 30 million units in the same timeframe that PS4 sold 70 million.
There’s no way it’s not. VGC might have had it listed as earlier, but 3DS has basically only gotten Sun & Moon since Nintendo last announced their shipped figures, vs all the major AAA games that have sold millions on PS4. Switch has cannibalized 3DS; It’s sales numbers have been fairly low since Switch’s launch.
BloodBorne + Uncharted 4, Lost Legacy, TLoU, inFamous, Horizon, Persona 5, Gravity Rush 2, NiOH, Nier, Nex Machina, Resogun, every major multiplat, etc. If you’re gonna try to be facetious and tell out Knack, then I can just say Crimson Dragon for Xbone, and 1-2 Switch for Switch. Gravity Rush 2 is definitely in my top 5 games I’ve played this year. So good. I’m just sad we’ll likely never get a sequel..
For me, Vita was the one thing holding the original Gravity Rush back. The hardware simply couldn’t do the game’s massive open world any justice, and some of Kat’s special moves like the the gravity slide just felt hard to control with the Vita’s sixth axis. I found playing it again on PS4 to be a far more enjoyable experience, and Gravity Rush 2 was an incredible title that made some serious pushes on the graphics front thanks to the beater hardware. Meh. I don’t really care how it performs at this point. I’m never gonna but any non-Nintendo titles for it, so hopefully Nintendo sticks to their guns and offers strong first party support in the long term.
Best console overall? I respectfully disagree, but best Nintendo platform? For sure. I’ll likely be picking up both for my Switch as they release.
No. Pro and X are the same as New 3DS. 3DS line is it’s own generation, otherwise it wouldn’t have its own software. That’s just a lame excuse to discredit how well PS4 is doing.

@mcstorm The “shooters do better on Xbox” rhetoric hasn’t been true since the earlier part of 7th gen. 8th gen, there hasn’t been a single multiplat, other than the original PvZ: GW, that has sold better on Xbone. Games like Uncharted, CoD, Destiny, Overwatch, Battlefield, Fortnite, and Battlefront perform insanely well on PS4, and boast far larger multiplayer communities on the console. Whatever numbers PUBG does on Xbone, PS4 will easily outperform them by more than 2:1.
Looks badass, although a bit too expensive. I’m still holding off preordering the game until If and when they announce a CE that comes with a statue like Horizon and UC4 did.
