This has been known for a while. It took the PS3 over 6 years to clear the 8 million unit gap that 360 had over it when it launched. No way in hell Xbone is ever even gonna put a dent in that gap, seeing as it hasn’t won a single month WW.

The Cloud and DX12 don’t matter anymore, don’t you know? I remember when Xbox fans were claiming the cloud would make base Xbone hardware on par with PS7, and that raw power and RAAM didn’t matter. good times lol...
I think we are way too close to GoW for there to be a delay, but if there is one, it won’t be by more than a month.
Considering their recent pledges to single player and story driven experiences, I somehow doubt they’re planning anything fishy, especially after the severe backlash poor GaaS practices have gotten lately.
I’m not gonna lie, I actually like Layden a lot more than Tretton. Layden just presents himself as a lot more down to earth and outgoing, and he clearly pays attention to what fans are saying. Tretton was good, but he still came off as a suit at the end of the day.
Progression based loot boxes are simply MT’s in the making. I don’t have anything against cosmetic loot boxes/ MT’s; just progression based ones.
Considering all the progression based MT’s in BF2, I wouldn’t be surprised if the system is already in place. God forbid what they’ll likely do to games like battlefield and NFS.

@Obi1 What does that have to do with anything? Slim instantly replaced the original PS4 design. They weren’t manufacturing the original design anymore after Slim launched, so it had no difference on the sales. They were that good because they were that good, and Sony didn’t market the slim like MS did with the S.
To be fair, having people get hyped to such an extent for something fake can cause long term damage.
It’s more humorous than anything. Shows Xbox cheerleaders will claim exclusives don’t matter, but celebrate when hearing something like this, only to fall back moments later when it’s confirmed fake.

Although, I guess if I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, the statement says “not a new IP”. I guess that could still be a new game, just from an established franchise. Maybe they’re helping out with Gears 5, it another prequel?
True, but I’m just going off of how well the PS3 has done since PS4 launch. It’s only sold around 8 million total. Obviously PS4 will do better, but I’m not sure by how much.

I don’t see it happening simply because PS2 got a decent extrension of good sales years because of the botched PS3 launch. ~ 30 million PS2’s were sold after PS3 released. I doubt Sony is going to make the same mistakes with PS5, so more than likely PS5 launching will stop PS4 when it launches in 2020/ 2021. I’m thinking PS4 will do ~ 130 million before it really stops, which is still incredible.
It’ll grow more over time, especially when PS4 gets games like Spider Man and God of War.
