Likely longer. If you played through HZD without doing any side quests or errands, it was about 25 hours. I imagine this game will be similar, given that it apparently has a massive open world.
They should do both. Like a red and blue console with the signature black and white spider and webbing pattern; holy crap that would sell millions.
Read my last reply. He didn’t simply ask how long; he used low numbers, which in most cases would be someone trying to create low expectations. He might not have been stealth trolling, but that’s a usual stealth troll thing.
Depends on how you define “success”. With the insane ammount of hype MS was putting behind it, one would think that X would push Xbone to sell the most in at least NPD, but it failed to do even that.
@Dlaw How So?
@September I’m on the site quite a bit, and it’s been confirmed on multiple occasions, the last time being early last year, when EA announced 79 million sold between PS4 and Xbone as of Jan 1st 2017, meaning Xbone AT MOST could only have sold 25.6 million (Sony announced 53.4 million sold a couple weeks prior), yet VGC had it sitting at almost 28 million. I’m not claiming they do it intentionally, but with MS having been hush hush about hardware sales for yea...
Virtual Console, and Switch achievements. They don’t even have to offer GC games on VC; i just want to be able to play the N64 classics on the go.
It’s pretty crazy that the launch Vita UI is still far superior to the current Switch UI; party chat, trophies, in-game music, all the great media apps, themes, etc.. Makes me kindof miss the thing. Hopefully Nintendo catches up to it some day.
VGC always overtracks Xbone numbers.
People recognize you based off your previous comments, and automatically think anything positive you’re saying is crap. Just how this site works if you let yourself become so recognizable in a bad way.
I don’t know; MM seems pretty insistent that it’s coming out this year. I feel like both are equally likely, although Days Gone is one of the ones that doesn’t officially have a 2018 release window (yet)
Not to be that guy, but isn’t Spider Man a second party exclusive?
More or less just because of your comment history.
@cfc I don’t know which version of that game you played, but it was a lot more than 12 hours. I guess if you literally rushed through it, 12 is possible, but that’s an unfair metric when you consider most games can beaten within a span of 2-3 hours with a speed run.
@cfc Yeah, but you’re not exactly giving decent expections when say 3 or 4. I agree 9 - 12 is fine, but when it’s a linear game that offers other components like MP. 9 - 12 is awful for an open world story driven game that doesn’t offer multiplayer. Anyone who suggests that typically has the intent of starting negative rumors to bash the game. Just saying.
PS4 + Switch + PC, and you never even need to look at a Xbox again.
PS fans have been right for the last 9 years; why are we suddenly going to be wrong?
This is how they prepare for next gen: buying a bunch of timed third party content that is pretty all doomed to fail, just so they can say they have more exclusives out the gate with their next gen hardware, and then fall back on their same tired old IP’s with the occasional shovelware. There’s going to be games, but they’re more than likely going to be trash. MS doesn’t know how to utilize talent; they just throw money anywhere and hope for the best.
You probably shouldnt hold your breath on 2018. Hell, you probably shouldnt even hold your breath on these being current gen titles, assuming MS is investing in them in early development and not trying to buy content that’s close to being finished. More likely than not, these are 2019 titles and beyond, unless of course you want them to be rushed messes like every other new IP Xbox has gotten this gen.
Wow. You sound like you really want this game to be short. Why? So you can trash it?
That’s the typical number for other people that aren’t developers who work jobs and do other things with their day; for all we know, this guy’s entire workday (possibly 8+ hours) was to come in and play the game until it was time to clock out, rinse and repeat. The statement is vague, but to assume such low numbers is Kindof silly.
