It's funny how so many people still don't understand this. The original 4 Crash games (1-3, CTR) were all co-published by Universal Interactive and Sony for the PS1. Even after Activision bought Universal Interactive and the Crash and Spyro IP's, Sony still has partial ownership of those 4 titles, hence why those games have been re-released multiple times, but only on PlayStation consoles/ devices. Their basically still Sony's games at the end of day. The reason why it took so...

lol I keep saying it, there's always the one that just has to be so far below the threshold just to get hits.

I think Sega is a lot better off just being a publisher/ developer.

And you still see Sony haters trying to throw the word Sparse around lol

But of course... they can't be marketing games in their glorious 720p ;)

So because one company is hiding their numbers, we can't accept the other company is dominating, even if it's blatantly obvious? That's Crappy logic.

Well, I will point out that every time MS has won a NPD, they make a huge thing about, and will even go as far as to warp the truth to make themselves seem like winners ("We sold more consoles in the second half of 2016" lol...), so if they had won any month worldwide, we would have heard about it. Fact ...

Too many people make it seem like the money these companies get from non-NA markets just gets thrown away or something lol

Sony announced that PS4 is still tracking as head of PS2 in both hardware and software sales. With Pro, the lifecycle of PS4 will easily extend into the Lifecycle of PS5 for at least a couple years. Considering PS2 was able to sell over 30 million units during PS3's era, I see no reason why PS4 can't do some numbers as well.

The forums on Neogaf, about which company would push the most units, were even worse. Pretty much all of them had declared Sony would get vaporized.

In NPD, this is true. Worldwide, PS4 hasn't lost a single month since launch.

Really sounds like you're trying to justify Nintendo making a console, declaring high hopes and huge plans, convincing millions to buy it, all so they can cut support after only a couple years, so they can shove a new one down our throats. You're trying to say Nintendo never saw potential in Wii U for forwarding it's franchises, which is a blatant lie, but I digress. So if that were the case, why didn't Nintendo just not release Wii U at all, and release the Switch sooner? Nin...

The proof is in the pudding. If games like Mario Kart 8 and Splatoon were truly system sellers, then the Wii U wouldn't have been a failure. Both games sold exceptionally well on Wii U, and yet they didn't push that hardware sales. In fact, historically most Nintendo franchises don't.

You don't pay much attention to market trends, do you? Marketing is literally everything. For one, Pro will be substantially cheaper than Scorpio (we're talking something that's easily gonna be $600 here), and two, most people who play those games are casuals; the majority simply pay attention to what console logo they see tacked on, and buy accordingly. It's what has happened to every single third party game over the last 4 gens. Also, not many people are going to have intere...

Of course it is, but Sony and MS also didn't throw their last gen console to the wolves it's last couple years to bring all their notable projects to PS4/ Xbone. You think TLoU couldn't have gotten a few months more or so of polish and been a PS4 launch title? Same goes for Halo 4.

Fact is, right now, Switch's current lineup has nothing on the PS4 lineup. Zelda will be good, I'm sure, but one game can't carry a console, with next to no third party s...

New Halo 3 remaster, new Forza 7, new Gears 2 remaster, and maybe a new IP that we'll see in 3 years, provided it doesn't get cancelled lol

I would honestly hate to be in M$'s shoes at E3 this year. Sony has God of War, Spider-Man, and The Last of Us 2 to show off on the exclusive side; we know that for third party they have the next CoD, RDR2, and possibly Battlefront 2 in the bag, so we're probably going to see at least 2 of those at Sony's show. I can MS announcing some new things, but a lot of it is gonna fly over people's heads, besides Scorpio.

It's too bad BloodBorne doesn't get an official Pro Parch. Pro should easily be able to run it in 1080p/ 60, or at least at a dynamic frame rate.

Mainly Sony. Without the success that was the PlayStation, MS would have never tried.

"Lay down the standard" All they're doing with Switch is releasing a cheap tablet that can plug into your TV, while copying the business practices that they spent the Wii U's lifecycle criticizing Sony and MS for doing, all while failing to deliver hardware that's up to par and game support that's worth a damn.
