PS4 is going to sell 120 million units, lifetime. People who don't think it will outsell the Wii forget that the system has only been out for 3 years, and is just now seeing a noticeable price decrease, yet it has already passed the 50 million threshold. As more games like God of War, Spider-Man, and Death Stranding release, combined with further drops in price, PS4 will easily see that 120 million units. Next year is probably going to be it's peak year where it sells over 20 million ...
So NBA, PES, and Death Stranding aren't native 4K? Mmmk.
I want to know what genre this game is, because if it's a third person shooter like MGS, then it's one of my most anticipated games this gen.
Called it. Betting Sony will be taking December too.
God forbid that developers actually put some effort into their games. What's wrong, Crappy? Xbox news still in the gutter, so you have to come talk about games and a console that you'll never buy? Figures.
According to VGC, it started tracking ahead of PS3 in September. With FFXV released, and Persona 5 soon to follow, PS4 is about to get some serious sales in Japan. Great to see that console gaming is still doing well over there, despite all the naysaying.
Not really. Jak making a comeback would be cool, but ND wouldn't be the ones to do it. They, in the words of Neil Druckman and Bruce Straley, have grown up too much to do a platformer. That's not to imply that platformers are only for younger audiences, but that it's simply not in ND's DNA anymore.
This is pretty insane. 3 years in, and it's already broken 50 million units. Never doubt the PlayStation. Next year is probably going to be it's peak year for annual sales. No reason why it won't sell 20 + million between now and then. Lifetime, PS4 should easily break 120 million.
It's most likely gonna be Sony's big title for the 2017 holiday season. Shuhei said that they were being more careful about announcing release dates, so as to avoid all the drama from delays that can potentially happen. I'm sure we'll get a solid date by E3.
Damn... Everyone on that post had it wrong. I even saw someone say Valve would be #1 lol
Thank god things turned out the way they did. PlayStation needs to be at the top, otherwise the other two stop trying, as history has shown us.
"Plotting" is a strange word. An idiot could figure out that PS4 Pro, just like any console, was planned well ahead of it's release. It was a matter of it releasing at the right time for affordability and what the next big thing is.
This guy occasionally has some legit points about gaming news, but he should not review games. Every review of his has been shit, even when he worked for Destructoid. Gravity Rush = 7, while Lollipop Chainsaw = 9? Like, really? Everyone's entitled to an opinion, but that's just garbage for someone who considers their's to be "professional"
This isn't bs like what DICE pulled with BF1. This is a fan favorite character getting a piece of the story of her own. I'm sure whatever reason Nadine is there for will be explained.
I couldn't care less if Polygon gave this game a 10. They're a site owned by Microsoft; They should not be allowed to review any non-Xbox games.
Ah yes. IGN continuing their current crusade of giving PS4 exclusives a lower score than the meta. Not sure what Sony did to them to make them so asshurt. Guess MS knows how much to pay them
This is a single player add-on, just like TLoU: Left Behind. After this comes out, we're not going to hear about Uncharted for a good while, and it certainly won't become an annual release game like Halo. I don't how Uncharted can even remotely be compared to Halo, when it's only seen 5 titles over the course of 9 years, the last of which came out almost 4 years after the previous one. Trust me. Uncharted is not "stale" with this announcement.
My Statement comes from FF sales history between PS and XB.
Yeah, but this is Final Fantasy. Final Fantasy always sells way better on PS platforms.
That was Black Friday weekend. It's already been confirmed that PS4 outsold Xbone on Cyber Monday. After Sony and Ubisoft announcing over 2 million PS4 sales for Black Friday week, I would love to hear the numbers with Cyber Monday sales included. Probably close to 3 million, if not more. Extremely impressive.
I think this is 100% PS4 exclusive now. I doubt Kojima's team would be using Guerilla's Decima engine if it was still coming to PC as well. Really shows that this is Sony's IP to play with.
