Honestly, it's the art style that helped this game stand out so much. Without, it be another generic indie side-scrolling shooter.
lol You Nintendo fanboys are always so adorable. Yes, I'm scared of something I could easily buy if I gave enough of a crap. You got me lol
I can't wait for the extremist Xbots to take up arms and cry about how Phil Spencer is terrible person for liking anything non-Xbox.
I don't think anybody is scared of that. With little third party support, the subpar hardware, and the complete lack of features and noteworthy games, Switch doesn't stand a snowball's chance in hell against the PS4. A tablet that can connect to your TV is not some new fangled technology that Nintendo magically invented, and is going to drive millions of people to blow $300 on. Anyone who doesn't care about Zelda probably doesn't care about Switch. Once Zelda is settled, S...
Saying "higher attachment-rate than Wii U" just tells me that more people preordering Switch are also more likely to preorder a game or two, which isn't surprising, considering Wii U didn't exactly have much of a launch lineup, whereas Switch is getting Zelda Day 1; I can only imagine basically everyone is getting that game with their system.
I'm glad to hear the sentiment, but the title seems to suggest Guerilla hasn't made great games before. Killzone 2 and 3 were phenomenal games.
Obviously I can't speak for everyone, but for me it has. It's been almost 3 years since the game was first unveiled at E3 2014. I understand game development isn't a short process, but this is a fairly simple looking indie title; what have they been doing all this time? MS keeps hyping the game up; are they just not helping the developers out? You can't keep showing off a game like that for 3 years straight and not expect people to eventually say screw it and go play something...
Maybe, but I'm pretty sure Guerrilla is a smaller studio than ND. They had to bring in a lot of outside talent to get Horizon going; maybe they had some people on the side starting it up, but it would be years from even being ready to be unveiled in that case.
I can see that, in the same PS4 Pro is really starting to shine. That being said, I just can't see Scorpio having much else going for it, besides hardware.
I mean... I'm all for PS4 getting an exclusive FPS franchise (still waiting to see how Farpoint turns out), but I'm not really sure if Killzone should come back. Killzone 3 was definitely ripe for a sequel, but Shadow Fall just kindof left such a bad taste in my in my mouth that, unless they can somehow pretend it never happened, I don't really want to see the story continue where Shadow Fall left off.
Plus, who would be developing it? I've assumed Guerilla...
That's basically what I'm thinking.
Probably because Rockstar is fully devoted to RDR2 and GTA VI. Plus, I don't mean to keep pissing on the Switch, but let's be honest, a GTA V port would be more trouble than it's worth. I think third party want to test the waters this time before they try to dive in.
@Thunderbird No, but Nintendo should know better than to make the product so expensive, especially if they're going to nickle and dime us with peripherals to get the ideal experience out of Switch. The core product should be more expensive than PS4 or Xbone if it can't outperform either.
Nobody should be spending $300 for hardware that doesn't even match hardware that is now $250, and came out over 3 years ago.
Review embargoes lift for Zelda 1 day before release? Are they really that worried about Zelda?
Nintendo is showing some serious insecurities with Switch.
It's outperforming the first game, so it's not too bad. 148K isn't anything to wave a stick at, but at least some people bought it. Hopefully it sold well digitally. Excellent game series.
I guess Crash Bash counts too. It wasn't developed by Naughty Dog, but it's still a Sony published game
It's just sad that people in this world think it's cool to trash someone else's labor for the sake of getting attention. It's one thing to have an opinion, but when you make it so obvious that you're just trying to go against the crowd, you end up looking more like an asshole, than someone with something constructive to say.
Well, when the original announcement was back at E3 2014, saying coming 2015, it's understandable that people are somewhat frustrated that we're already almost 2 months into 2017, and we don't even so much as have a release window.
