hah, when you see the whole interview that was taken well out of context and spun. There's no way in hell someone from UBI is going to come out and say that kind of stuff, sorry!
Well it looks like there's still room for a premium xbone controller as the one they're shipping isn't all that much better than the 360 pad according to much of the reporting, whereas improving on the ps4 pad might actually take a lot of effort given the amazing reception it has received.
No you don't and it seems the same goes for facts and common sense. There's only one multinational megacorp that tells you what to do, that much is clear (re: your comment "I've been a day 1 xbox one supporter").
No, you're both wrong. They have both lost their parent companies money.
"Long haul, Xbox will probably make MS money."
Interesting forecast - what makes you think ms' xbox division will turn it around this generation? Since its inception it has always been in the red.
The units IGN had might not have been as far along as the one in the video here as they weren't allowed to show the back, it just sat there really. T3's hands-on was exactly that at least.
Wasn't expecting to see this kind of stuff just yet, maybe not for another month or two. All seems well for a massive launch, hopefully before November!
Since February 20th.
If you have your competition stumbling and fumbling on the back foot, back-tracking and doing 180s, you're well on your way.

What a load of rambling old guff that was!
This. None of the devs want to upset the platform holders in this way, it'd be counter-productive on many levels.
That's a contrived example. A more real-world and likely scenario is this:
Dev makes game. Code is 95% common to both formats. Superior hardware grunt allows game to run at 1080P/60 on one machine, inferior hardware does not and the decision is made to either render at 800P and upscale to retain 60fps or lock to 30fps to keep it somewhat smooth.
Another example:
Dev makes game. Game runs equally well on both hardware formats, but one form...
If UBI came out and said "yes, ps4 is clearly more powerful" there would be all kinds of trouble. They would not only be upsetting ms, but they'd have an army of xbots making petitions and boycotts for their infidel ways.
Companies like UBI, EA, Activision etc. *need* both consoles to be a huge success in order to maximise their profits. They aren't going to go out on a limb and upset half their potential customers. I was speaking with a dev on exactly this ...
But to be fair, of those there's a large number of direct and remixed ports from current gen games/tech.
PigPen, you've said this before, but why do you think that ps4 availability is such a bad thing? Sony aren't sitting on a warehouse of ps4s nobody wants, far from it. They are proving they can produce the machine in *massive* quantities for launch around the world. They've told certain retailers to "open the floodgates" - basically take as many pre-orders as humanly possible.
There's no struggling to produce units as some would suggest ms are sufferi...
Yes, 24 days not 16 weeks.
I thought Zynga's clothes-stealing tactics were all about teh dramaz.
Frying pan --> fire if you ask me.
Coming soon from Zynga: Haylo, Phorza Motorsports and Cheers of War.
4GB is incredibly small, that's maybe enough for a few skyrim saves.
My nephews struggle with their 12GB ps3, 4 seems barely enough for a few patches and updates in all seriousness.
Not my kind of game, but along with 744 other ps4/vita fans so far, I've backed this other indie kickstarter (it's also for computers and Wii U). I'd be happy to back more kickstarters for ps4 and vita.

game sharing = demo sharing.
At best it's not anything different to how dedicated servers work now, and worst it's marketing snake oil. There's no way a game would be written in such a way... the movement of trees in the breeze is trivial and would take a tiny fraction of a local machine's available grunt.
There's no way the cloud is going to be calculating such trivialities as tree movements, sending that data to your xbox one via the interwebs, the xbox receiving it, storing it in m...
