"Two worlds colliding is also another way of saying an eclipse"
No it isn't. An eclipse is when the sun is obscured by another planetary or celestial body, nothing physically collides.
Also, the phrase is "when worlds collide", it could be 2 worlds or 3 or...
The deal has them making four games over 10 years, of course the initial game is where much of the costs and expenses arise with it being a new IP made from the ground up. They don't have to make all that money back over one game, a percentage can be offset over the four games/10 year deal.
Plus, the nature of the game is that it'll grow over time - that's probably not something that's going to happen for free in every instance.
It's not so much meant to be a bargain deal as a "look what you get here vs the xbox one". Simple as that and if people are sitting on $500 they can make their choice.
I'm sure they could do a much better write up and analysis of the numbers rather than just spouting off lists of numbers and combined totals, it's not very engaging with the reader.
I didn't enjoy GTAIV too much and gave it away. V looks much more like it, but I'll probably wait for it to get cheap before picking it up.
It started as a kinect game, it's not surprising the gameplay is limited and shallow.
Maybe the best plan would have been to continue that game and make a completely different one using the same themes, world and assets but an entirely different approach to combat and story.
As it is, Ryse seems to have less depth than something like Frobisher Says...
It's amazing some people can't see past the ill-conceived stunts ms have pulled with their xbox one masterplan.
"I'll wait for a professional review to decide which console to get first"
So you'll wait for someone else to tell you what to buy? That's really sad, you get nowhere in life bowing down and doing as you're told. Man up and have an opinion!
I'd like to see it remade with the execs from each company singing and dancing instead.
@kneon Exactly. The fact that the ps4 launch edition sold out so quickly yet the xbox one still sits 3 places behind and not sold out after a month or more - that speaks volumes.
Two other ps4 SKUs are up into the low 80s in the same chart now.
Then don't waste your time posting messages on N4G, instead keep hitting that xbox one vote button and fight off the evil Sony infidels who broke the interwebs!!11
When the poll started you could see 50% of each controller, the graphic is being used to express the percentage of votes either way, it's not yet another Sony conspiracy.
You get 10 or 20 pre-orders to offer, you are going to have no trouble selling them all. Now on the other hand, if another company offers you four times that and you sell out and they then go on to say "open the flood gates", well, that's something you don't easily sell out of.
If you think it's a good thing that limited xbox one pre-orders are sold out you're not seeing the bigger picture - without availability ms cannot sell them. If they can't...
There are over 100,000 votes, not 75,000. It's just that >75,000 of them are for ps4 but there's also the 25,000 for xbox one.
lol @ the disagrees - click the link fanbois, it's there in black and white.
@No_Limit You were being economical with your stats - picking and choosing. The "current best sellers" is pretty volatile, since your post 12 hours ago, that particular ps4 SKU has risen 2 places. There are 4 other ps4 SKUs in that charts at 26, 32, 55 and 82. Being spread over 5 different entries in their database doesn't reveal the picture you were trying to paint.
Judging by the 2013 best sellers in video games so far this year, not much. xbox day 1 is stillin number six behind the ps4 that sold out in 24 hours at number three.
Two other ps4 SKUs are slowly creeping into the top 100 (currently in the 80s).

Cyber Playground and Odyssey of the Mind, whoh, how different things might have been with that kind of genius naming!
Exactly, and having 2 separate articles and having them spread out over multiple pages, it's obvious what the author intended.
and personally.
@edonus
Yes, I have my own small business and I'm a Sony fan(boy), but (and this might come as a bit of a shocker)... I've got this magical device called a laptop, and blow me if the thing isn't already able to do all that stuff and more! Imagine my surprise as it didn't even cost as much as an xbox one!
Thanks for the giggles at least...
