The idea wasn't really to look at the US (because people often post links to the US Amazon site and we've all seen those charts before), I was more interested in what was happening in the other regions.

"To me, this means it's tough to judge the demand for the consoles because people aren't able to buy anymore than the alotted amount. "

True, but those that have been sold still remain in the chart based on how many they sold up until...

"And that's because PS4 is dominating the preorder charts on every retail/etail outlet."

It seems to be. I looked at each of the different Amazon shops around the globe to check their pre-orders for ps4 and xbox one so far this year - this is what I found:

Asda have been slashing money off the Wii U all year and there were only going to be two reasons for this - they either knew about forthcoming price cuts (that many were hoping for) and wanted to beat others to the punch, or they were dumping their stock.

They said it was to promote sales back in March and possibly also May, but the last one a few weeks ago now seems to have been about getting rid of what they had on their hands and not the start of the much cheaper Wii U peo...

Yes, about £43 more. Weirdly, the xbox one is going to be cheaper in Australia than in the UK ($600AUD), something that hardly ever happens.

Oh achievements deffo will carry over, that would be a big mistake to block.

tbh that makes sense, you can have a totally separate set of online pals for playing different games on different systems, away from actual real friends who you game with who you could easily add.

Did E3 pass you by? Over 30 Vita games there.

Price drop on the memory cards would make me just as happy - support the existing users, especially the ps+ fans who can't justify those expensive cards just to play the games they already have queued up.

Which suggests it'll be fairly trivial to add this in to the ps4 menu. Some people seem that desperate to change it they'd buy a ps4 just for that!

Is that a good deal? Sure that's not supposed to be 12 months? 3 months is £12.99 on Amazon, 12 is £32.49.

I'm betting ps+ US or euro accounts are popular in oz. The retail prices and strict rules regarding what's OK for release really don't do aussie gamers any favours.

How can you disagree with me posting more of his tweets from later the same day and asking you to take from it what you will? If you have an opinion then reply, clicking disagree doesn't make much sense to me.

Personally it looked like the kind of stuff he's been saying for a while, which doesn't really sit that well with him working on an apparent xbox one port.

He also said this later the same day, take from it what you will:

"By the way, if anyone wants to write an actually *informative* article about "indie self-publishing", I'll be happy to go through the questions that are important to indies in determining whether a service is viable (which you'll then note are not answered for XB1 yet).

If you just want another sound bite, though, then no thanks.

Some of these questions ...

It was probably 1gb back when the console was designed to have 4gb, and for a little time later. Since then, with the bump to 8gb, Sony are very likely to have given themselves a bit of breathing space and, unlike the ps3, some amount of future-proofing in reserving a nice amount more than is currently needed for non-gaming features.

Here's what a dev friend had to say:

"...even the wii-u reserves 1GB of its 2GB memory for the OS, and that OS barely ...

Over here in the UK (apparently an Xbox stronghold) the story is a little different, but not how you might expect:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/...

In the Best Sellers of 2013 so far, ps4 is at number 3 (behind TLOU and Live), but the One is all the way down at number 36 (day one, still not sold out) - behind ABBA You Can Dance on the Wii and Luigi's Mansion...

@4logpc Those games are sandbox, this is on rails, a very different experience.

@fossilfern "Lets be fair here the QTEs in this game are optional"

No, the completion or participation in them is optional - basically you can sit and watch the game play out or you can participate in pressing buttons when prompted.

4566d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Well everyone has their opinion, for some people while the game has next gen graphics it has rather 90s gameplay with the heavy use of QTE, some would argue even more casual as the only consequence of a failed QTE is a points/exp/animation difference.

Don't think this is an official bundle, but it explains why discount codes were sent out to those who preordered ps4 to obtain DC cheaper, as it's stop people complaining or cancelling their pre-order for the bundle.
