Platinum Games is creating the gameplay, graphics, levels, etc. and Kojima and his team are creating the story and dialogue. Also, Kojima is the top billed executive producer on this game, so you need to be better informed next time before you go and start trashing a game.
Me to, I think when we see better than expected scores then alot of the complainers wil get the game and back track saying they were never part of the ones hating.
I believe the flashlight is permanant, but I read somewhere there is a battery life, so it would make sense you can switch the light on and off. For all those complaining that switching from light to gun made the game more tense. All it really did was cause you to take unneeded damage, but you can still play the old way. When enemies come out make sure you press the button to turn the light off before you start firing...that will be the same control original input setup.
For many fans of the series it is already ruined because the voice actor of 10 years (a decade) has been given his pink slip. I am one of the very many that will not support this game without M. Ironside, the man whose voice we identify Sam Fischer with.
Like where he cuts thru that large steel beam and you see the solider on the other side fall apart or when he chops that helicopter to bits and it falls out of the sky. How can a fan of this character not thinks that is cool or how you always imagined it would be like to control him in a game.
I am buying it.
I enjoy Jim's reviews and he almost always puts forth a compelling case for his review score.
I enjoyed Crysis 2 multiplayer, it was a good start. IT will evolve and be more polished this time and the singleplayer will be more like Crysis 1. Whats not to like.
the killstreaks, deathstreaks, etc. is what made COD different. Crysis 3 and Halo 4 look much better than this boring sack of potatoes.
I am still ticked about no M. Ironside, so I will be skipping this game, but they sure are marketing it to death already and they ignore the voice acting flub every chance they get.
Microsoft, there is no need for a SOA event if you have no eventful titles to launch. This year has been terrible, there are no Limbo, Braid, Shadow Complex, Toy Solider, or Bastion type games so I see no point for a SOA if you don't have the games worthy of an event.
Lastly, Dead Light has flaws and is getting the appropriate reviews, to say the developers should get consideration for their effort, as this review allude's to is moot, as most developers work hard a...
Have mine preordered and can't wait to play on Tuesday. Should hold me until Borderlands 2 next month.
No Ironside, no buy.
You actually believe if the Kinect is built in your not paying for it......please!
I know right, ubi is in full on damage control, but for me no ironside no buy. There is plenty of other games to play and now since its mostly action and little sthealth, these games are a dime a dozen. Ironside voice would be the only thing left keeping the series a resemblance of its former self and cohesive.
SC will not be SC without the character voice we grew to love for a decade. No Ironside, no buy for me.
Don't give two flying f***s about this new guy. Give me Ironside or I don't care about the character anymore and it becomes a none purchase for me.
The truth is Ubi does not want to pony up the fee Ironside charges. They complained about that last game and decided to bring Ironside back due to fan backlash.
So speak up and let your voices be heard.....I will not purchase a Splinter Cell game that does not have the original voice of Sam Fisher...Michael Ironside...he is and makes Sam Fisher's character with his voice acting.
Peter Cullen is Optimus Prime
Mark Hamill is the Joker
and ...
no
KOA was great and was a promising series, this is a shame. Hopefully the IP will make its way to an excellent developer so we may see more of this universe.
That is not the general tone from other reviews I have read. It seems this is "if it ain't broke don't fix it" or "more of the same", which would be fine if the story wasn's lacking compared to the last game and the multiplayer and Escalation wasn't more restrictive by not letting you chose to play a favorite transformer like Optimus, but rather choose a class based character.
I don't call that exceeding the previous title by any str...
