My question is who owns the IP rights PG or SEGA. I bet it is SEGA and they put the publishing agreement in place with Ninty. I believe the anger probably should be directed at SEGA.
That said it is a classless move by SEGA to allow this to happen and alienate the fanbase from the original.

Of course it will be a mid range GPU from 4 years ago, the system is $300 to $350 and the controller takes up half the expense, so of course the GPU will be less then what it could have been. I really see nothing special about this new console. Everyone is just excited because its the first new console in 6 years.
Also don't forget Ninty always makes money off their machines starting day one.

I think ronin4life was mistaking Naughty Dog with Insominac Games, who is third party and EA is bringing that Fuse game to 360 as well, to bad what I have seen of it looks generic.
Bayonetta was about timing, procision, dodging, and combos. I do not think it will feel the same using the Wii U controller. I am a big fan but I'll pass.

My point was that when God of War was being developed, PS3 was already in development and they had a launch date in mind internally. So that IP could have been delayed to PS3 if they really wanted to, but Sony launched the new IP anyway.
Regardless, bottomline is that it doesn't matter if it's a new IP or not or at the tail end of a generation or not.....it will sell if it is good.
God of War launched March 2005, which was only a year an a half away from PS3 launch. Then God of War 2 came out for PS2 in March 2007, which was after the PS3 launched.
I believe if the game is good then it does not matter when it is launched.

It is supposed to launch in the next couple months, which would seem like the console should be in production now at factories. So, why no official spec release yet? Is Ninty ashamed of the systems power and hopes to quietly get the specs out?
Anyone else find it odd that we know so little about a console nearing launch?
Love them hate em, I purchased KOA:Reckoning and SSX earlier this year and plan to get Dead Space 3 and Crysis 3. I will support the franchises I like, whether I agree with the publishers practices or not.
The alternative is not to support them then the franchises I enjoy get closed down.
Just think if Microsoft wanted to shell out some of their cash they could acquire both Activision and EA with all their properties. Thing is unfortunately the gaming industry has pecked a few years ago and has been downsizing ever since. So why would anyone buy at this point until rock bottom, if at all?
Well it's been 8 years since HL2 and still no HL3 or even aknowledgement that it exists. At this point they make another or don't, cause there are so many choices in gaming and entertainment and so little time now with a 5 year old starting school, that it doesn't matter for me anymore.
Valve has lost almost a whole generation gamers since their last true HL game. They could annouce it today and I would be saying it's about time, yet thinking to myself....w...

I was not on board when I first saw the design of the young Dante, but I have to say after seeing many gameplay and combat videos, it is looking pretty good. Ninja Theories idea of the environment living and changing around Dante is a nice addition. This is looking more and more like a day one for me in the normally slow gaming month of January.

Their decisions on Ninja Gaiden 3 made that game suck a**.
as all the great talent that produced all those great games are gone. Microsoft even fired Chris Seaver, the genius that came up with most of te game ideas. My guess is the final straw was when Chris put worth the story and everything for the next Conker game called Conkers Other Bad Fur Day and got rejected because Microsoft is all about that crappy Kinect device. Chris even had test footage for Kameo 2 which was to be darker and more mature. He was let go not long after that.
