I remember parasite eve. it was a cool game, though the chrysler tower was tuff. i'd buy that game again, definitely. and this new one...if it gets it right. there's just something about the first one that stuck with me for a long while. i stopped by AFI back in 2000~2001 and they had these pamphlets that had tiny screens of some of the CG FMVs from this game in the corners of the pages. it was cool.
Both consoles have their theoretical limits and performance expectations. And each developer works their game load into those parameters. It doesn't matter that one dev says they can do something when another may not be getting the same results. For instance, not all games these days run at HD. In fact, quite a few run at sub-HD just so that they can retain the original graphics workload intended to be played out.

If all games would release on the same system, planning releases wouldn't entail any sort of "timing" or "regional appeal". But, with the latter if a WHOLE region doesn't like the machine (or just hasn't adopted to it yet) then it's not going to sell there until the company establishes better reputation and does its research in the consumer interests.

The title says Asia...so they're slowly making progress in Asia. Soon, there will be versions localized to several different territories. Of course I'm getting the North American release, and since Squeenix has made this title available to 360 owners, I will be getting the 360 version.

gears had a feature similar, but it didn't do to much. check out the first encounter with the berserker on both censored and uncensored. it's just hilarious how they managed to change "oh man! we're f8cked! we're F8UCKED!!!" to "the hell is that...getting outta here, ooooh. gules!!"

they are. they have created a well balanced and well implemented architecture from the motherboard chipset to the central processor. and with ati's proven success in the graphics sector, now they have a firm footing in all three fields. a phenom x4/790fx board/radeon hd3870x2 is all the rage these days. three crucial aspects of the system building process, and they've made them well priced.
build that system and tell me what YOU think. run a few of today's truly remarkable pc gam...
with the money you save on this setup, you can grab a zalman like i did and get the same results.

it's not my fault intel is going to spend the next years trying to undo to harm they did back with their pentium 4s. they dropped that moniker just so they could start fresh, with a new thinking. that the "core" architecture matters more than just the speed. so, overclocking doesn't really have as much a bearing in todays world ...

the one exeption being of course the elite. it's actually HIGHER priced than the ps3's top offering, @ $449 (best buy gets you a bundle with 2 games for the same price BTW). why MS doesn't drop the price on THAT one is a mystery but it IS 40gb more than the ps3 which makes since sorta. plus, it's their "renegade" model: it has a different image and target audience than their premium and arcade configs.

We all know that ps2 was a crowning achievement in Sony's portfolio. A milestone that grew into a wall that shut the competition out. Xbox had trouble just maintaining it's number 2 spot, and that spot was miles below number 1, which was ps2.
Neither ps3 nor 360 is going to reach those astronomical numbers. Sony had a great game plan then, something that they just aren't going to do this gen. And MS's 360 needs to hit a critical mass in Japan (which I believe they're working on) ...
FF7 ended the way it should have, for being a 1997 game. I'm spending another $60 just to see Square butcher what was one of the finest moments in rpg history. Advent proves that they lost it (if you guys hadn't figured out yet, Advent's basically a cell phone advertisement. They didn't even have cell phones in FF7!). And what's with all this sequel/prequel crap? They tried to expand the story from the inside and outside. They should have done what Kojima did with MGS: made a damn good story ...
yeah, as soon as i ended my SC4 seesion at like 2am last night i got the message and poof it started to download. however, im on a 768k DSL and i can basically tell when a current download is kinda small even for my bandwidth. so when i saw the progress bar speed through the download, i had my suspicions that this wasn't the BIG one.
