Grid's got a phenomenal sense of speed. But that's just like water effects: every developer has their own idea of what water should look like in their game. If you like arcade feel, NFS Underground kinda got it right. If you like physics sim, Forza2 has it nailed down too. But right now, I'm loving Grid more than any other racer out there. The turbulence you experience in that game...I think that's how speed should be implemented.
it's never easy to get people to see things your way. if you want to believe PS3 is superior, by all means believe it. if that's what it takes to get you to heaven sooner, that's fine with me. i don't have to believe in what you have accepted as truth, because i'm just as free to believe in what i want. and what i believe to be true is that the games speak for themselves.
for trying to stack up each console. like, you know trying to nail down numbers and figures. i said 360 has FAR more flexibility than the PS3. he said "right, highlight the one thing that benchmarking can't measure". so, that got me to reason a little bit...and conclude that benchmarks don't prove SH*T! i don't buy a PS3 or Wii or 360 to sit there and friggin run BENCHMARKS?! let the games speak for themselves!
PC gaming really isn't changing. You still need to drop $2500+ on a machine that will have a SHORTER gaming lifetime than a console. There's NO WAY a PC can be built to accomodate future innovations, other than the obvious: slots and sockets to fill with pricey upgrades. If I spent $2500 on a gaming rig, I wouldn't want to EVER have to upgrade the sucker. But that's not the reality: today's highend hardware is tommorow's bargain PC.
And don't get me started on compatiblity issues ...
ps3 gamers taking a peak at the exclusives xbox 360 has coming in the future...i think there's a hint of paranoia/jealousy in that.

I played it and the GameCube remake of the original. Both a great games, but Zero falls short of 1's glory. Not by much, since I did like the dual-character aspect of it. Most of the time, however the control was weird.
cod4 was a blast to play either way. to think that designing a game to be on a "lead platform" will degrade your console's experience isn't true. that staff of people will be held accountable to the standards that make a PS3 game. and it won't make money if no one buys it, so they have to do it right.
their jobs depend on it, not some dumb fanboys arguing over superiority on some gaming news website.
Kojima wants to limit what people can say about mgs4 in their reviews, and MS is the criminal? If Halo3 got ANY bad ratings, at least it was done freely by the journalists and reviewers who did so. Kojima needs to stop acting like he's God...people of such character are proven wrong by the simplest of means.
If you want to see a better future for gaming, stop and think about what Kojima's actions have led some publications to do.

yeah, people get your rigs ready. But don't be ashamed if you're not yet rolling with the big boys. I played the original mgs on a 13" combo tv, with a built in VCR...and MONO audio! Did it suck to be me? Yes. Did the game suck at all? Nope, still one big epic that I'm sure glad to have paid the admission for!

i still use ie7, but firefox gets me a nicer experience. i have safari and i'm interested in its design, but i dislike apple software in general. i have a zune, and consider it MUCH better and more sophisticated than the iPod, which only looks good if you get Touch. however, i'd buy a macbook AIR if i could. because a 17" notebook pc isn't as portable as i would've liked.
given how battery life is precious, skip the slower ie7 and go with firefox to avoid the hassle of page...

1080p literally has little to almost no jagged edges, even 1080p with no AA is clearer than what is depicted in NGS, look at MGS4 that is more clearer and sharper than NGS.

Bioshock made me believe that FPSs have hope in this gen. I bought it when it came out, but I had the demo on PC before. Driver issues kept me from getting acceptable performance on my setup, but playing it on 360 provided the butter smooth experience I deserved. There's an option called Unlock Framerate, which I think is fancy wording for v-sync. Turn it off and the game hits 60+ FPS for a tradeoff in slight screen tearing (more noticable in scenes with rapid light flashes).

I look at that picture and see Luna. SSSC was a great game, and one that I'll always remeber for how regal the box set was. 4 discs, a cloth map, hard bound booklet and nice overall box art layout.

I've always known the advantages of PC gaming. For a time, it used to be resolution that was the first thing I cranked up. But consoles have beafed up substantially. Now, with the rig I have, PC gaming isn't as beneficial to me as console gaming is.
