Mass Effect...I still play that game! The ending was superb, and the best thing about it was the amazing dialog. People used to insult it saying that there was too much. And what about MG4? Or rather, the entire MGS series? Did having a sh*t load of script stop it from becoming popular? Or being a good game?
Regardless of what people might have said about it, Mass Effect truly represents the next level of gaming. Any game that can take you beyond this planet is already a good s...

nobody here takes a sec to say that they have a mom too. and a girlfriend. and the many other things in this life that should mean more to us than some company's dominance in the marktet, or some console's total hardware sales.
then again, this IS n4g and what else should expect but raving fanboys who eat up numbers and figures and worship companies that can't even call them out by name. these corporate people...
Why do they persist to rely solely on this subject? I think I can speak for everyone when I say that the world has moved on. There are great games on 360. And contrary to the poor image of the 360 that PS3 owners have so maliciously painted, 360 has continuously led the pack.
RROD...I think the Sony camp has played that tune all too often. If isn't RROD, it's the DVD9. If it isn't that, it's claiming that their console is superior. If it isn't that, it's FF13's exclusiveness on P...
i can't remember but i do remember seeing a comparison of Shadowrun on both a high end gaming PC and the 360. I almost felt sorry for the people who actually bought the gaming rig instead...friggin overpriced! Build your own and you'll probably end up with better system overall and save money.
AMD Phenom x4 9850 2.5ghz = $194

Corsair Dominator 4gb (2x 2gb) DDR2 1066 = $149
Antec TPQ-850 Modular PSU = $139.99
Thermaltake Armor+MX Black Aluminum / Steel ATX Mid Tower = $134.99

"All current newegg.com prices, get em while they're hot!"
Yeah, of course it's like comparing Pro model Radeons to XT model Radeons. They may in the same series, but they are different.
RSX= a 7xxx series GeForce
Xenos= an HD2xxx series Radeon
Both are cheap now, so yeah. Agreed.
AMD/ATi has succesfuly launched three products that have become the three most critical aspects of the system building process: the motherboard, the central processor, and the graphics processor. AMD 790fx/Radeon hd3870x2 (or hd4850)/Phenom x4 9850 can be had for a SWEET price. You'll get a 2.5 ghz quad core that can be overclocked pretty decent, a gpu that will either have 800 stream processors (4850) or have dual gpus (anythingx2), and a ddr21066 mobo that'll be certified for up to quad cro...
so, basically equivalent to what's inside the ps3/x360?
It's gotta be pretty darn good then, if it can compete with the gpus inside of these new consoles.
I remember loading up FarCry when it first came out...boy, talk about next gen! Looking back at it now, even today it stands pretty well on its own.
The great engines of the time were:
Halflife 2 (has been a halmark for quite a while)
Doom3 (shows up in games as far as Prey and The Darkness)
Unreal (though its graphics demands were WAY behind)
and FarCry (crytek's stuff has consistently been graphically outstanding)
This was a ...
Cell= single dual threaded PPE (3.2ghz), 8 single threaded SPEs (read "stream processor")
shows up as two logical processors, since the SPEs are DIRECTLY subordinate to the PPE. they are DEPENDENT on the PPE for work. programs see the PPE first, and then are tailored to be able to use the other SPEs. one of the SPEs is also locked for use by the system and another is inactive to improve chip yields.
Xenon= 3core dual threaded (not hyper threaded) cpu (e...
Ps2 was such a great console, it's a shame to have to play hit n miss with having to play its games on ps3. keep a 60gb original launch model laying around...or JUST FRIGGIN BUY A PS2!!!!
It's cheap enough to buy WITH a PS3, now for a lower price then one 60gb at launch.
you don't know wtf you're talking about.
i've been gaming since the 8bit consoles, and there are people who can claim that they've been gaming since before then.
and about 13vs coming to 360, never rule out the possibility. even though it may seem to have even the smallest glimmer of hope, that can change quite a bit. how much hope did anyone have of 13 coming to 360? i think remember ps3 fans saying (to sum it up) F8cking NEVER! who was proven wrong?

sure...thats what squeenix said about ff13 before. let's just accept the fact that anything can happen.
which makes this gen way more exiting than the previous gens, with all that sony dominance. wouldn't you agree? at least this time around sony has had to REALLY fight. i mean, they have knuckled up! and that's why ps3 gets such good games like killzone2, and 360 gets more rpgs. because this time...it's WAR!
i say business, tough sh*t
oh, your name's a palindrome!

I have a Zune. iTunes market is garbage comepared to Zune Marketplace. Plus, 14.99 a month gets you unlimited music. Sure, it's DRM protected but I think most of us should be working to curb our file-sharing binges. At least when it comes to copyrights.
because you're the guy they can't please

No offense, it's great to be that guy. But being that guy PLUS being a hater isn't cool. Hate doesn't have reasons. Just prejudices.
I have Vista and have no problems with it whatsoever. Performance is top notch, interface is streamlined, compatibility with all of my devices is solid, and I know that Windows 7 will be based on Vista's core architecture so migr...
I don't think it's "reverts to ignoring", rather "those that want one now have it, and those who still don't want one haven't gotten it yet"
You have to remember, when dealing with a market this small anyway you're going to go through your customer base quite rapidly. In that way, MS couldn't have really hoped for much anyway. What's 200000 (gross over estimation) more consoles in one week then 5000 more every week after that? They could have reached the same ...
