Man, that was an epic escape at the end! Really drawn out and full of action, the way an ending should be. Of course, nobody laughs anymore when you crank it up to Legendary. I had to do it in co-op just to make it alive! Of course, if you want a REAL war, just play BF Bad Company or COD4 ModWar. Those really stand out! Bad company just really hits it right though. Huge expansive environments and friggin paranoia running rampant as you try to get from a to b.
Quick hint: always b...

None have yet rivaled that ravishing raven...I'd show her what the REAL men do.
leave your 360 alone. it's not worth the price to get those hdds, plus media center extender helps you have a central location for all your media, which trims the need for more hdd space.
if you dont have the 20gb version, but do have the core/arcade sell it and get the 20gb. if you have the 20gb and need more spcae opt for the 60gb or 120gb. if you're in need of the most space get the elite, but if you already have the 60gb you'll be fine. if you've just bought any of them and w...
Vista's WEI is not a GAMING benchmark. But it was never intended to be one! WEI stands for WINDOWS Experience Index. The only thing you should be getting from your WEI score is how well Vista will run on your PC, as well as what programs (that are WEI aware) will run on it.
For gaming (which has always been about hardcore scores) you go to Futuremark. And then in a couple years time, your PC will need to be upgraded just to get good scores in that years version.
I think Microsoft's relationship with ATI will continue, and likewise Sony will stick with nVidia. Also, since ATI is with AMD maybe the next Xbox will feature an AMD processor. And just as well, Intel has really been working its relationship with nVidia. So maybe the PS3 might go Intel for its cpu. But I think IBM has proven its success in the console realm...they just might be around for another gen.
Of course, this is all really anyone's guess.
Im sure they've been beaten down well enough in the head to MAKE SURE RRoD won't make its second appearance, if indeed this first appearance was ever as ugly as Sony fans have maliciously made it out to be.
It's a dead issue, and Sony fans will have one less thing to say about the Xbox brand. (Though...sh*t! They really did come up with the best insult for us Xbox fans...Xbot, how can you beat that?)
Now watch them talk about DVD9! And Vista!
a cheap shot from an aging issue! get some new material or stfu!
Drivers are released by nvidia just about every month, but oems like release their own versions as well. Usually the oem drivers will have model specific updates, though nvidia drivers are ALL UDA (universal driver architecture) meaning that one version should be able to run on all of their chipsets. But, when it comes to oem drivers nvidia it's up to the oem to support them. So all nvidia does i release a SERIES (like the 17x series) and then makes regular updates to those (177, 178, so on) ...
About these drivers, I am running modded INF 177.92 (since this is a notebook GPU), with its support for OGL3.0 and CUDA enabled PhysX. I did see my WEI score go down afterward.
Processor: (4.6) "Intel Core2 Duo T5250 @ 1.5GHz"

Gaming Graphics: (5.3) "1024MB total graphics memory 256 + 768"

All benchmark tools are just scales. I personally gave up on the chase for better scores long ago and I just stick with the FACTS. Sure, they provide a great estimate about your hardware, but the thing is people like Futuremark are constantly innovating their products, and catering toward extreme gamers, who usually like to just gloat about their setup. And once they've moved on to a new series of graphics and cpus, the previous gen will fare less and less well with its new metrics.

i just didn't want to edit the article. basically it's easier to leave speculation to the masses and have them surprised by the results than to commit to something and set too high of an expectation.
also, maybe there's some unknown factor, like a particular part not being cost efficient yet. sure, the VENDORS and markets can be given the go ahead to drop the prices. and then ms will figure out what they can do to cut the prices on their end.
btw, these numbers are ...
why are there ps3 gamers here? it's clearly not meant for them, and ESPECIALLY if they don't want to hear good talk about the 360 they shouldn't be in here trolling.
and what's up with them getting all those agrees? either 360 gamers agree with them, or they have an army of trolls who do the same thing and come in here not only to read what they don't want to read, but they also come in here to disagree with people that they wouldn't have to disagree in the first place if they ha...
why are there ps3 fans in this section? it's posted under 360!
i have a good feeling about vs XIII, since so little is known about it. hopefully it'll be exactly what i'm thinking about: something that can come closer to the awesomeness that was advent children. they said that XIII would be exactly that, and im sure it will be. but with vs, it could be the evolution of what they're doing with XIII. so the stuff we see in it could possibly be exponentially better in vs. or some new technology altogether.
the possibilities are there!

I buy all my games retail. So, now it's EA's turn to be honorable and start putting quality back into the agenda. I just bought BF Bad Company, and I feel that they ARE getting there. But it's really only because they are getting better developers under their wing. Hopefully Dice's Mirrored Edge will continue on to be a great game.
Something that I WOULD pay top dollar for.
you're forgetting the 10mb edram
so
ps3 has 256mb + 256mb
360 has 512mb + 10mb
And that edram is many times over the speed of the xdr. If people say that having 256mb of xdr is like having 1gb of gddr3, then just imagine how much having 10mb of edram would compare to the xdr.
Now, on a side note it's not just so easy to say that the memory is "like" having more. The addresses end at "x", so there's no way to address...
Mass Effect is an RPG, but it has a strong 3rdPS aspect to it. Now, can we say that its story sucked? Nope. Same thing with MGS4. I don't mind having a few hours of cinema IF the story doesn't suck.
I guess it's the compromise we make when these developers start thinking that shooters need explanations as to why they're shooting. I'm all for it, and besides if you want a PURE shooter experience just play a different game. I'm sorry to say this, but the genre has been so over-satu...
welcome to side of people who overcompensate by increasing their bubbles with their multiple accounts. and saying bad things about others when they say that they like a another console.
one less hope of peace.
so many that computer life couldn't be the same without it. but if anything's for sure, people want more ways of I/O. voice dialing, optical recognition, biometric scanners.
one day, there won't even be a monitor. it'll be a see through cube with magic "dust" (akin to a pixel) that lights up in its position in full 3d, constructing a hologram that is painted by light! the finer the dust (pixel), the more detail will be seen.
But if only MS's good side was publicized more. I had my Zune 80 replaced because of the HDD going bad, and for my being patient with them they gave me one of their Zune Originals with an engraving of my choice.
I think it all really just comes down to how polite you are over the phone, and who you're dealing with. I've gotten myself out of $300 phone bills simply by negotiating (and at times flirting) with the service reps. They're all human beings too, and they just want to get...
