First off, XMB was a rip off of Windows Media Center's interface. To say NXE is a copy off of XMB is incorrect, and even still Microsoft topped them BOTH with NXE. It's discrete left side placement is much better than to have to navigate left AND right in a center based scrolling interface. You'll see all of the menu options cascade to the right, which puts them in a better view. It could work either on the right or the left, but in the center it's just not as aesthetic.

I think if they can get it rolling with their current Zune that should be enough. But a gaming oriented Zune would be nice! Of course, it's going to suck a lot of juice with a platter based drive. So maybe they'll use flash.
I just hope that they can expand on Zune's integration with Vista/x360. It would be nice to utilize it as extra space/space for media when connected to x360.
As for Vista, i've said this before but I would like to see integration with SideShow ...
The Zune is actually a lot cheaper internally compared with the iPhone and iPod Touch. I don't think Microsoft loses money with Zune at all. Apple on the other hand has significantly cut back the price on BOTH products.
Scrolling through letters and numbers to spell out things can be a pain, but Zune is awesome! I've had a Zune Touch now about 6 months, and before that I was one of the people who got the original Zune 30GB.
This will be sad news though, since our Zunes will be SOL as soon as they make something with more buttons. Maybe they need an onscreen key input similar to iPhone's. But then where does the game fit?

How would you classify Home? If it was meant to be integral to the PSN experience (like NXE is integral to Xbox Live) then Home will be adopted as necessary.
I see Home as an all-in-one solution to help PSN come up to Xbox Live's level of community centric package. Parties on Xbox Live already proves that XBL has that covered, and they pulled it off extremely well.

I like Zune, $15 a month gets you much more music for the money and now you can keep 10 tracks as purchased. A nice free alternative is Pandora, which is great but if you skip tracks a lot (it's a streaming music service) it'll tell you that you can't skip anymore due to license issues.
