that's fine i guess, i like a game when it's challenging. i hope they do something with how krogan battlemasters come at you and just melee you to death, that REALLY irks me. they're like magnets when they come at you like that, and you can't really defend against it. especially on higher difficulty settings.
well, you could also just install a better armor upgrade too. lol.

it was cool when we got to try it out with psp in 2005, but it got the idea from windows xp mce in 2002. so to say that xmb sux also means to say that media center sux. they both did it well, and they did it in their own way.
i don't see much of a problem with either company's way of using a scrolling cross interface, mce had it nailed in 2002 and so did psp in 2005.
I used to have the Joost and Veoh desktop apps, then they both went to the web. The Joost app was pretty cool and Veoh was good, but they mostly had clips.
Hulu has always been on the web and they just developed a desktop app in the Hulu Labs section, which is actually very functional. Maybe the best solution to everyone's fears is to just build a media center PC. You can even get a remote, I use my laptop's HP Media Buddy remote, it's awesome.
when i had bought a new xbox 360 60GB back in october, i had to transfer all of my old themes and arcade games over using a memory unit and then i found out that they were no longer "full" games to other accounts but my own. the same with themes too, no other profile can load the themes that i've purchased.

Agreed, a price cut could help them in the short term. But they're supposed to be past the "sell consoles at a loss" phase. They're gonna be in 3 years deep into this gen and still losing? Sony has to keep PS3 as it is and just deliver a strong library of of new releases.

gears is menacing. it's brutal. it's tactical. it's fun. it's anything BUT boring.
i seriously can't see how gears2 disappointed on multiplayer, it's friggin incredible.
if you want the old gears maps, they did include those in gears2. the mansion, tyro station, and gridlock are 3 maps that i can remember off hand.
Gosh, I remember my 4th grade teacher back in 1994 Mrs Laster would bring her son's Sega Genesis to class and whoever had their homework done from the previous night and ready to turn in right when they walked in would get 15 mins of play time. She did it for the 1st few kids only, everybody else watched or would be zipping through their homework at the last minute, lol.

If PS3 fans loved their PS3s they'd stop wishing for the price cut. There's too much at stake if Sony does. PS3 is priced as it should be, for being such a swiss army knife of consoles. It should be Sony's directive to stay behind Kutaragi's vision of what this gen was supposed to be all about. As soon as they deviate from that vision they'll have issues.

Wow, definitely NOT good for PS3 owners. They might just be doing this temporarily, since they did recently upgrade their flash support. I think it'll be back running again eventually, but if it's a business decision then wow.
Off topic, I just got my Windows 7 RC install setup with Hulu Desktop and some netflix plugin (since netflix isn't in the current version of Media Center on Windows 7). I've installed it on an old PC I have laying around, Dell Optiplex GX60 with Pentium 4...

i was merely commenting on the two systems as they are advertised. ps3 has this image of being more of a home entertaiment center than a gaming machine that happens to have free online service. xbox 360 has a CLEAR focus on online gaming, so the service is going to be premium. because the service is premium it comes with a cost.

god of war 3 will most likely be 720p with some form of AA. maybe none at all, judging from some of the trailers. of course nothing is known until it's finally out.
but i seriously doubt it being 1080p.
Full 1920x1080p is 2.25x 1280x720p total pixels, or a 125% increase in pixels. So there's a BIG effing difference!

1080p is just too much to ask for with how much graphics wizardry devs wanna work up this gen, so i'll excuse for now. but next gen it's gonna be a whole different ball game.
It's easy to say "I'm not gonna pay for it". That's a personal finance decision, and there's nothing against that. You just don't see whatever it is that's question as being worth YOUR money.
But the merit still belongs, Xbox Live still continues to deliver the Xbox 360 gamer incredible service.

but in particular i'm on hardcore with a brand new file and i keep getting killed by the krogan dude on the liara mission. i finally worked out a good strategy, but i'm just so weak compared to the ai. everything works out until mister krogan starts the melee sh*t. wipes me out in like 5 seconds. i have shield batteries, better armor, and my shepard has the infiltrator special class, so she's good with sniper riffles. of course that's not doing me ...
