Many games this gen have failed to truly meet the still as of yet unmacthed stellar precedence shown in Mass Effect. I'd really go as far to say that it has more guts than any other game on any other console out there.
Mass Effect is THE ONLY next gen game. THE ONLY game I could identify this generation with...besides Halo 3 and Bioshock. ME2 is going to blow away anything and everything on PS3 next year, that's for sure. God of War 3 including.

I think the general ps3 fanboy consensus is that as long as Sony says that you NEED something we as gamers should bend over and say "yes please".
Microsoft still keeps the Arcade model on shelves for the buyers that just want the basics. And with Xbox Live you can stay a Silver member if you don't want/need anything that Gold has to offer.
With PS3 you can chose the cheaper and still well featured PS3 Slim, and Sony keeps PSN free to all PlayStation owners....

I think when PS3 fanboys report this and yet blatantly and openly approved anything that bashes Xbox 360 people should start noticing that the PS3 fanboys on this site are such lowlifes. AMD originated the Universal Shader Architecture that the g80 later became compatible with. In fact it's in the Xbox 360.

The "competitiveness" that I speak of actually has to do with the type of racing modes offered and how it plays out. GT is just too pure to be considered a SERIOUS racing game. It's beautiful, it's bold, and it's brilliant. But it's a show-no-go. It's meant for the photo op, the collector's room, the glass display case. That's what PD goes for.

Forza MS 3 delivers on Turn 10's claim to fame. Not like polyfony was much to contend with anyway, lol. In all honesty GT was never really a sim racer, although you COULD call it a DRIVING game. He likes to work with history, he's a great historian. He weaves the tales of political intrigue and espionage into his cinematic experiences. He creates characters that even through such primitive consoles as the first PlayStation could move you through their sad stories (and those who could literally move you, like Psycho Mantis).

Wii is just a great console that unfortunately launched way more than it was worth, same as PS3. But at least Sony finally admitted to it being overpriced and having "non essential gaming features". Whereas Nintendo hasn't touched its Wii (...lol) since 2006.

nVidia should know about punishing gamers...ask anybody who held onto a geforce fx if they got to benefit from the programmable shader technology in the games that followed.
AMD has done pretty solid and I'm only hoping that nVidia realizes the punishment it is to plunk $600 on a highend GPU...
