Obviously you don't like achievements - fine.
How exactly is this "xbox... trying to justify their pricetag" ?
Also - you state "just play games, if you beat me, you get props" Wouldn't those props be in the form of trophies or achievements? Just sayin...
While I use twitter, I agree with this feature being stupid.
There would almost have to be a toggle-off switch right? (I didn't read the article... sue me) If there isn't, you can be sure that the first thing I'm doing is unlinking my twitter account from my gamertag - I would hate to follow myself if that were the case, and I don't need to proclaim to the world how big of a nerd I am.
Now, if you wanted to have like a public competition with...
SuperStrokey - You Obviously Didn't Look At The Charts, Or You Don't Understand What A Proper Noun Is, Or What To Do With It Grammatically.
IF the maps are released simultaneously, I'd pick this up for my PS3 (the Hardened Edition - I have a $100 gift card balance from Amazon to use up...) but if there is still a timed delay in map DLC even with Elite, it's an easy decision on which console to get this on.
Time Warner Cable sucks ass... still waiting for any news on integration.
Thank god I'm still paying for it though... oh... wait...
I like Resistance just like most everyone else, but I have to disagree with you there. For ME, Battlefield 3 is going to be my favorite FPS this holiday I think.
Resistance, Halo:CEA and MW3 (if I buy it... leaning NO) will probably battle for 2nd rights to my disc tray/slot.
This quote from the article bothers me a lot:
"This is primarily because Infinity Ward has a real knack for identifying a problem with gameplay and developing a clever way to fix it"
How long did glitching and cheating and modding go on after the launch of MW2? I played into my third prestige (about 6 months - 11 "days" of gameplay time) and it wasn't getting any better.
So if that's IW's way of identifying a...
As far as achievements go - and to address something in the (silly) article - I don't check the Achievement/Trophy list before playing the game. Once I beat the game, if I truly enjoyed the game, I will look at the list and do a second play through. If the game was just "meh" then the game goes on eBay or sold to a friend, regardless of the achievements/trophies I didn't get.
The less people switching from MW to BF the better.
I love how people disagree with someones personal preferences...
I like a controller with a little heft.
I like a controller
I like. <---- this is the part where I'm not telling you what to like or how to live your life.
Disagree all you want idiots.
This is the reason I hate this website - disagrees for anything pro/con on either side of the (retarded...) fanboy war.
I just hope that the controller has the same weight as the 360 controller - it gives it some heft and feels good in my hands.
I like the ergonomic design of the 360 controller more than the DS3, but I play my PS3 a little more than my 360 - so this will be nice.
@Peppino7 above: We're exact opposites, other than the D-pad. I feel clumsy with the DS3.
Vickers - you're missing the point...
So, he was so famous to warrant an article about a reference in a video game?
This? This is "News 4 Gamers"?
Ok - if you say so.
I know how to search for something - that doesn't make him more or less relevant.
Sorry - who?
True, but now that they've established themselves as being a great all around console maker, they need to push the games again.
Resistance, UC3, Twisted Metal and all of the multi-plats.
It's always been a bit strange that Sony doesn't market their games as well as Microsoft - seeing that the quality is on par and mostly exceeding the exclusives from 360 - sure, they sell themselves to people in the know, but when I was younger, I didn't hav...
THAT.
WAS.
AWESOME!
<3 you KB!
What you fail to realize is that most of the people calling it milking - do so across multiple platforms/articles, and the people who defend the continuation of stories are also most of the same people.
Your problem isn't with MS fanboys, or Sony fanboys or ninty fanboys, it's with Trolls.
Every successful IP has multiple releases, and trolls like to rile everyone up.
Ignore the trolls.
