Actually the price will be $399 USD, not $439. http://www.neogaf.com/forum...

Same game, at dramatically different performance. 900p ~30FPS vanilla, with Scorpio hitting base 1080p 60FPS, 4K 30FPS, and upscaled 4K 60FPS.

Because it's going to deliver more power than we've ever seen in consoles.

We've seen many games that are held back by console hardware. We've also seen many games that flourish with current-gen hardware, however those devs usually have the console-makers helping them optimize the games.

Consoles need better hardware, especially as games get more complex. Xbox One and PS4 are woefully outdated and can't even deliver native 1080p 60FPS--it's always dynamic resolution scaling that can drop down to ridiculous levels and destroy the ex...

Absolutely not. The Xbox One S is the cheapest 4K Blu-ray player on the market. It also comes with the tremendous bonus of being a fully-fledged games console that upscales games to 4K.

Sexualization has a place where characters are people instead of mindless AI. Good games represent the human condition, and sexuality is a huge part of that. So yes, sexuality has a place in gaming. Should it be in every game? I don't think so. But it definitely has a place.

Based on the specs, $599 at the least.

There's plenty of reasons people will still buy Xbox One consoles. Games With Gold, cross-play on PC and Xbox, easy plug and play living room gaming (well, it used to be easy, now we have tons of downloads and whatnot), all-in-one gaming system (meaning no extra hardware and whatnot...well except for a HDD maybe, but no GPUs/PSUs etc), and let's not forget that Microsoft's PC games will utilize the Windows Store, so they'll likely be quite shittily optimized (ahem, Quantum Bre...

It all depends on if the Neo is coming out in 2016 or not. If it is, it definitely won't use Zen, as AMD hasn't even finished it yet.

As for videocardz, I didnt even see their RX 490 catalog page! This is what I saw, leading me to believe the RX 490 was at least in the same Polaris family (the chart) http://videocardz.com/61721...

But this pa...

That...would be insane! I think a VEGA chip might be too much, considering we have evidence the Scorpio will rock a custom SoC with Zen + Polaris. Also remember Scorpio is at 6TFLOps, and the RX 480 tops out at 5.5 TFLOPs, so the next step up would be the RX 490.

According to info from videocardz.com, the RX 490 is more optimized towards 4K gaming than the RX 480. I'm not sure if AMD will have VEGA ready to be scaled alongside Zen or not even though it launches next yea...

I really think the Scorpio's Polaris GPU will borrow more from the RX 490 than the RX 480. Bear in mind the chip IS NOT a desktop-grade video card, and therefore can't be a 1:1 equivalent. That being said, I still feel the Scorpio's graphics hardware will be based more on the Radeon RX 490 than the 480, especially given the RX 490 is focused more on 4K gaming.

I enjoyed DmC's gameplay and content, but Dante was just terrible. Luckily the newish remaster lets you change skins so it's not nearly as bad.

"It's also worth noting that - clock-speeds and resultant TFLOPs aside - the specs for RX 480 are point-for-point a match for the GPU in Sony's upcoming PlayStation Neo."

Digital Foundry clearly omits two of the MAJOR specifications for any GPU to match the RX 480 with the PS Neo. The PlayStation Neo will likely use a modified RX 470.

Here's what I think the PS4K/Neo will deliver.

Native 1080p 60FPS in all future games (likely not older games unless developers patch it in, or possible even re-release older games with NEO support).

1080p upscaled to 4K with some kind of awesome new scaling technology

Improved performance across the board in PlayStation VR, but we're still not exactly sure how.

One thing I'm concerned about with the PS4 N...

I don't think the Neo sports an RX 480, despite the sites matching the specs. Project Scorpio, however, will likely use a customized RX 480.

According to AMD's own slides, the Radeon RX 480 has 5+ TFLOPs of power and delivers "beyond HD" gaming, which is a clear indicator.

They can beat them to market, but the PS4 Neo absolutely won't beat the Scorpio's hardware specs. There's no possible way simply because AMD doesn't have the tech (7th Generation APUs and Summit Ridge Zen CPUs) ready just yet.

So essentially Sony is going to offer a console that fits between the Xbox One S and Project Scorpio that supports 1080p to 4K upscaling, 1080p 60FPS in future PS4 games (older games may get this support but it'll be up to the deve...

The patents have repeatedly referred to a Wii U-like gamepad with 3DS-like mobile gaming components. Now whether or not the patents reflect the final console remains to be seen, but I have a very strong feeling the NX will have two parts:

1) A base console that serves as a nexus hub the connects to existing Nintendo hardware like 3DS and Wii U as well as mobile phones/tablets and even PCs.

2) A Wii U-esque gamepad with powerful specs that can be taken on...
