Microsoft is convinced we need it when Phil Spencer outright said "it's not for everyone", and predicts the Xbox One S will outsell the X next year?
Huh.
This doesn't mean anything really. Capcom has filed tons of trademark continuations for Deep Down, so many that they reaches their max and had to re-file the trademark.
And yet Deep Down is pretty much dead.
Good list, definitely agree.
Nice! I read the slides but didn't listen to the briefing yet. I'm guessing that's where Ubi revealed this info :P
Consoles have no reason to be worried by the Switch because it's missing one critical component: stationary always-online interactions.
If the Switch were a stationary console that's primarily used online, then sure. But the Switch being a huge disruptor might end up being its downfall--big publishers are comfortable with platforms as they exist now, and you'll notice they're not "all in" on the Switch yet.
That's because the...
GabeN gets his 30% cut, and Square Enix isn't in full 100% control over Steam's storefront.
Ask why Ubisoft makes uPlay, or why EA made Origin. Those are all the main reasons, plus Square Enix is chasing strong digital engagement strategies that could solidify with having their own proprietary client and storefront.
Old news -- this was literally in their older financial report.
It won't be a PS5. It'll be another iterative PS4. Sony has spent waaaaaaay too much money into the PS4 platform just to reset it completely with a new hardware release.
How does Pachter still have a job in this industry?
I've seen lots of misleading types of articles on the ESA's data. The ESA's data isnt JUST for digital game sales: it combines ALL platforms--PC, consoles, mobile--and combines add-ons, microtransactions/DLC, social gaming purchases, and everything in between.
If you combine ALL those things, of course digital will smash physical.
It's flaws are too deep and they can't simply be patched and updated. You can only add make up over the blemishes and band-aid the cuts, but the game will never be what it should've been.
I have a strong feeling old BioWare is just dust and bones now.
Please no. 343i isn't capable of handling something like this.
Developer's asked for it didn't they?
If it featured Ryzen + Polaris GPU infused with Vega, it could cost $599. But Jaguar + Polaris EVEN with high customization? $499 for 1TB max.
His name is Michal Kicinski yo.
Yeah it's up for pre-orders. But look at their actual websites.
NA: http://nier-automata.com/ag...
JP: http://www.jp.square-enix.c...
and it's even missing from Platinum Game's website: https://www.platinumgam...
Know what's weird? There is no mention of Windows PC on the official Platinum Games Nier site or the Square Enix JP Nier site.
Actually Sony might literally be making a PS Vita successor as we speak http://blog.esuteru.com/arc...
"Looking ahead, our Company has a robust long-term development pipeline and is better positioned for success than at any time in its history.
"We expect to grow both bookings and net cash provided by operating activities in fiscal 2018, driven by our release slate led by Rockstar Games' highly anticipated launch of Red Dead Redemption 2."
FY 2018 ends on March 31, 2018. If it releases in September 2018 as this article postulates as a possibil...
One device is crippled by component shortages, whereas the other device will have THREE SKUs of varying price points with widespread availability (at least XO and XOS).
Yeah, I don't see how the Nintendo Switch will outsell the Xbox One this year. Maybe in holiday sales?
