Of course they are. Take-Two Interactive has literally said Rockstar is working on some "exciting new projects" as far back as May 19. Then they said it again on their most recent earnings reports.
I believe its Grand Theft Auto 6, as GTA Online's DLC is winding down, and Red Dead Redemption 2--the leaked "Legends of the Old West" info and map.
I still want to know if Sony has optimized 4K upscaling tools for developers, or if AAA devs will still be responsible for creating their own specific upscaling methods.
The 4K upscaling for PS4 Neo sounds like a nightmare tbh, and I think only first-party SIE developers will benefit from the PS4 Neo's capabilities.
I hope I'm wrong. It's about time consoles deliver true 1080p 60FPS native gameplay.
Why is everyone so blind? When books did this back in they day, they were praised as masterpieces. Now when a game mirrors real life social issues, its a controversy.
Look at This is the Police, for example. What's happening to our world?
That and long ass install times. Not all of us have awesome internet. Also console space is limited, so we often have to delete games. If we delete digital games, we'll have to spend hours downloading them again to play them.
Games aren't small any more.
I'm concerned about the inventory management. The leaked screens showed players having to often go into their inventory and "charge" items just to continue onward.
This is basically like having to eat food or drink water in an RPG to survive. Instead of having a shortcut menu, you literally have to open your inventory, navigate to the item, and use it.
That might not sound like a big deal until you multiply this by thousands of times.
Even if you don't have a 4K UHD TV, there's no reason to buy an Xbox One except for price. The Xbox One S has a dramatically shrunken SoC (down to just 16nm from 28nm, offering a huge boost in efficiency) and has an overclocked GPU, faster ESRAM, etc.
I'm also thinking the Xbox One S will take greater advantage of DX12-enabled games. The S also boosts frame rates of games with dynamic resolution (which a good portion of console games make use of) and uncapped fr...
The reality of No Man's Sky, I think, is that people are surprised for all the things Hello Games left out. The videos/trailers were prepared presentations--not bullshots or misleading content, but presented nonetheless. So of course the game is everything they showed us, because they were careful what they showed us.
No Man's Sky is pretty massive insofar as scope and specific details, so it's only natural for Hello Games to leave some things out so we can find...
PS4 Neo will almost certainly upscale games from 1080p to 4K. Sony needs an answer to Microsoft's Xbox One S, and for all of you saying that 4K is impossible for consoles, you need to read up on AMD's new Polaris and Vega architecture.
Btw guys Eurogamer made that image of the NX. It's not from any of the patents.
I've asked a lot of people this question concerning the NX: at what point does gimmick turn into innovation?
There's likely a lot more about the NX than what we've heard. Eurogamer's reports aren't exactly new, either; the patents have told us all of this information, except for the detaching consoles. And it being powered by a Tegra chip has been known for months now.
All Eurogamer's post did is ignite even more questions rather t...

Women's gait is much different than men's. Their bodies are different. Their body LANGUAGE is different. I wouldn't say they're hard to animate, just different.
But different means devs have to take time to make unique NPCs. AAA dev teams go through hell to make their games, and they're pushed quite far. Some things (like how a woman walks vs a man) are usually put on the back burner for more important things, like, you know, keeping the in-game world fr...
Sony has said this from the start....
It is a new console through and through as far as hardware, but it'll likely keep the same OS and general framework.
Yes. It will play all games the Xbox One can play, including the officially supported Xbox 360 backward compatibility catalog.
We can't compare Xbox One/Xbox One S to Scorpio in any way. People can save up their money and wait all they want, but they're still going to be shocked by the price.
Scorpio isn't meant to be a console that everyone buys. It's going to be a console for "enthusiast gamers". Microsoft knows this, and everyone needs to realize Scorpio isn't meant to be mainstream.
PSVR actually goes up to $500 for the bundle, which includes:
PS VR headset
PS VR cables
Stereo Headphones
PlayStation VR Demo Disc
PlayStation Camera
2 PlayStation Move motion controllers
PlayStation VR World's (disc)
Neo can't release in 2017 with those specs, even if it releases before Scorpio in 2017. It'll need better specs to take on Scorpio, even if its months down the line.
Unless Sony is doing a radical overhaul of the console, and the leaked specs are 100% fake, I'd say the Neo will still launch in 2016.
Oh trust me, I see why Microsoft is releasing the Xbox One S, and actually agree that it's awesome there's so many different tiers.
I just think these tactics need to quit, and I dislike the way Microsoft dances around details y'know?
That being said, I still tell everyone if they want to start watching 4K UHD video the Xbox One S is a great way to go.
I dunno man, the leaked slides from Sony told me that the companies aren't too sure on how to handle upscaled 4K yet.
Of course those slides were old--they said Sony Computer Entertainment instead of Sony Interactive Entertainment--so I'm sure they've made some progress since then.
I still maintain it won't be that easy for some devs. Admittedly I don't know a whole lot about how upscaling works.
