Considering the 3DS did just fine you might not have the pulse on "most people" want. I'll never use it like Nintendo advertised though (at a basketball court).
Weird that you'd make a random guess at the percentage too, reminded me of Mark Twain: There are three types of lies: lies, damn lies and statistics.
Microsoft and Nintendo would have a mutually beneficial relationship. They'd hardly have to buy Nintendo.
Nintendo benefits from their install base and it elevates the Xbox in new ways. It's smart business sense in many ways.
It's also unlikely that Nintendo would partner with Sony, not impossible but a lot of the old guard is still around and remembers their failed partnership that resulted in the Playstation.
No... it's timing. New hardware iterations don't usually hit their stride on day one. Give this a few months and you'll start to see the differences as devs become familiar with hardware.
I think the analyst is off-base. Sony is saturating their market as much as Apple releasing the iPhone 7 and Apple Watch 2. This isn't a thing!
This is at least the third article on this on N4G.
I didn't know they had commented, looked it up though. Maybe just hopeful on my part but this comment doesn't rule it out:
"The dock is not the main console unit of Nintendo Switch. The main unit of Nintendo Switch is the unit that has the LCD screen, which the two Joy-Con controllers can be attached to and detached from. The main function of the Nintendo Switch Dock is to provide an output to the TV, as well as charging and providing power to the system."...
One of the reveals might be that the docking station acts as a co-processor. Nintendo filed a patent in 2015 about "supplemental computing power" and many assumed it was cloud based.
Given the reveal it might be scalable processing (like a PC) where the tablet runs at X speed alone and docked gets a bump to run at Y speed. It would be a clever way of not being limited to the power limitations of a handheld.
There was an article that was only a day off on the date of reveal nearly 3 weeks back... kind of neat, they used a historical analysis of Nintendo.

Can't wait! I'm hoping for good things from Nintendo!
Vote with your wallets.
Don't buy the game and send a polite message to Capcom about why you're holding out.
@Concertoine
Red Dead Redemption 2 may not be the final name. I was kind of surprised since it's really Red Dead 3.
Many numbered series create new, unique stories unrelated to previous entries. Final Fantasy or even Rockstar's own GTA.
Here's hoping they hear the public consensus and can add support via a firmware update. I'd love to have this supported. 4K streaming is nice but doesn't compare to the fine detail on disc.
As a huge Nintendo fan, I think the author (and Nintendo) have underestimated how much the gaming community loves power, performance and specs.
Let's face it... specs sells.
Well... "no plans" in the game industry is rarely a firm no, let alone from a CSR responding to an email. Considering CDPR still actively patch this game it's more likely than many other third party games.
Tough to do a comparison like this... the game builds don't compare too easily because of the different libraries and optimizations applied.
PC games have to be massively compatible with different hardware configurations unlike consoles.
I'm excited as everyone else to see what PS4 Pro can do but I'm skeptical that we'll find out via this method.
This is in Bethesda's court to put some level of quality control on mods. I'm surprised they haven't created an automated certification that stress tests the game engine.
Sony likely doesn't want the console crashing. Many will assume it's the PS4 not the mod which will drive support tickets.
@moldybread
Hold your horses, I'm on saying it's silly to crap on Nintendo for a gamepad. That's their product pitch no different than MS and Sony selling you on power and performance.
Everyone has a gimmick to try and sell you their product so there's no reason to join the recent Nintendo hate train. All of the systems have pros and cons.
Gimmick: A trick or device intended to attract attention, publicity, or business.
So... you mean like everyone selling a product, ever?
Agree. The next step should be PS5. Even if it's backward compatible it will draw a line as to what games cross over because of the performance difference.
Honestly... I'm okay with this list staying on the past. Most of these were products of their time with limited story and gameplay. Sega has other games that would modernize better:
-Skies of Arcadia
-Panzer Dragoon Saga
-The Shining Series
