Agreed. Any company would rather strike while something is hot. Many people don't realize that production is scheduled months in advance.
Companies assess and try to anticipate demand. If they miss the mark they're stuck waiting until they can procure more product. It happens with toys like Hatchimals quite often too!
But... but... I remember Double Dragon V being released for the Genesis. This is like that time Doctor Who added another Doctor.
Stop it with the PSVR doomsday bandwagon, please.
Storage space is not a concern. The tracks are already included you just can't get English subs with Japanese audio.
I'm shuffling.
I'd love to see a retail release of Earhbound Trilogy.
My thoughts exactly... I have a child who will want to play this thing and now I need to hand over my iPhone or iPad with it.... WTF?!
It's becoming harder to be optimistic about Nintendo. I own this on the Wii U so this news just guarantees I won't be buying this.
The theme for Nintendo continues to be that of missed opportunities.
I've been wanting Nintendo to add this for a while. I have to admit I like achievements and trophies. It's a neat digital record of accomplishments!
UPDATE: Netflix support for Switch is available on the same device as voice chat.
Scratch-resistant not scratch-proof. Either way they are miles beyond DVD!
Spot on! I love Nintendo games but that presentation was a hype killer. So many missed opportunities...
As a Nintendo lifelong fan, I'm seeing how out of touch the company has become. The online service should offer games across the virtual console for at least the life of subscription.
@Frinker
LBP series has done well and Dreams got a big E3 presentation last year. Marking Media Molecule for death is premature.
Fakey McFakerson
Hmm I used this on my PS3 to watch both E3 and whatever the "Neo" event was called... no big deal really because of YouTube Live.
The Longest Journey was great, Dreamfall was fun but didn't hit the same notes. I'm hoping for a rebound!
It's an even split for the series where the handheld stuff is more recent. DQXI will be on both! :)
Console (6):
Dragon Warrior 1-4 (NES)
Dragon Warrior VII (PS)
Dragon Quest VIII (PS2)
Handheld (6):
Dragon Quest 4-6 Remakes (DS)
Dragon Quest IX (DS)
Dragon Quest VII Remake (3DS)
Dragon Quest VIII Remake (3DS)
Lifelong Dragon Warrior/Quest fan here... all of the main entries have been released in the U.S. except for DQX (the MMO).
Granted V and VI were the DS remakes but even a bunch of the spin-offs have been released here too :)
Decent collection of confirmed titles. This list should grow quite a bit as their are more announcements expected over the next few months.
