Splatoon gimmicks?! Come on, now you're just hating.
Insert "fish joke" here.
I let my son play different generations of consoles. My NES, Wii U and PS3 are plugged in currently.
The Wii U has been a bit more accessible to him given the overall difficulty level of many games on the NES.
I love the original. I got the gold cart at a flea market when I was about 8 years old for $12.
It was my neighbor Tommy's third birthday that day and I sat in my house playing my NES. I still go back and replay every few years.
I'm not sure where I stand on upgraded consoles yet but I learned a new definition of irony today:
The gamer that is so outraged by the idea of an upgraded console that they're just going to become a PC gamer instead.
Can't tell if April Fool's joke or not...
No... Nintendo disputed reports the Wii U was being discontinued.
Sony's approach leaves a lot to be desired. I have a decent collection of retail discs.
I would gladly pay a fee for a "PS2 app" that ran my PS2 discs where I could benefit from trophies and upscaled resolution.
I will not be re-buying titles at $14.99 per.
Nintendo Experience. It's a take on the commonly used acronym UX for user experience.
Can't tell if your giving a throwback reference or being serious...
This could be different things. It's worth waiting to see. Some forms:
1. PS4 slim with typical die shrinks
2. PS4 with some bonus features such as Blu-Ray 4K, 4K streaming, etc.
3. A unit intended to take the PSVR co-processor as an internal unit
4. An actual mid-gen refresh (a la Nintendo) that boasts upgraded hardware but maintains full PS4 compatibility
As a potential PS4 customer, I'm excited to learn what Sony is working ...
Sony needs an "upgrade" program.
Bioware didn't make Arny of Two.
Error macro, indeed.
This article and others like it come across as disingenuous. Sony was equally as non-specific as Microsoft in their statement; neither named their competitors.
Until last week Microsoft stomped the idea of cross-play for years. I'm glad they're onboard but let's not immediately be down on Sony for Microsoft's previous policies.
This looks cool, I skipped backing because I have an outdated PC but will definitely get this when I can!
Agree. People often forget this helps introduce a new generation of gamers to a title they may not have played.
The article does go into details that talk about that this isn't a new idea. It would be very cool to have cross-console play.
Careful what you wish for... Nintendo's always been rooted in the philosophy of taking old and using it in a fun, unique way.
I'm a huge fan but their "roots" don't include wallet busting hardware.
They didn't start on PS2 but we haven't had an entry since:
Suikoden
Grandia
Publicity.
These guys can now claim "we're the guys that made the 3D Zelda demo."
