I thought shadow fall was only up scaled...I could be wrong. That's neither here nor there, the point is we've got two next gen consoles and less than 5 games between them run at what I think we all thought would be the default res and frame rate.
I do like Phil Spencer but I think what they show at E3 this year will really show if he is the Xbox saviour the gaming community hopes he is. Amaze us Phil...ooh and make a new Battletoads game lol.
How many games are running at 1080p and 60fps so. I know Forza 5 does, how many others. To be honest im a little disheartened by both systems inability to have this as the norm.
I think it's gonna be Micro Machines 3! I Used to be my favourite Codemasters racing game on the megadrive (genesis) :)

Though I know a lot of hardcore players hated their inclusion, I hope the new Gears still has bots. To be honest I sucked at Gears multi player and the bots gave me the chance to learn the maps, still unlock stuff and above all improve my skills until I actually had a chance against real people. It worked too, I went from whipping boy to mid to top table finishing.
@UnHoly_One Exactly, I totally agree with you. Titanfall isn't about the story, it's about being an amazingly fun game to play and it succeeds. As far as im concerned we dont need campaign dlc, just more maps and modes to keep the fun going and going.
Same here. Played the game every night on my 360 since launch, finished both parts of the campaign and yet my grasp of the story is that there are two sides, they dont like each other, they fight. The end.

To be honest the X1 has the power but MS has made it so difficult for developers to use it. Forza 5 is a beautiful game and runs at 1080p at 60fps and yet Trial Fusion cant? WTF? Its not power thats the problem here it's that the X1 is not programmer friendly.

If they found a way to do it properly it would be a great announcement at E3. Even though few people would actually use it, the added option of playing your old games on your new system (without having to buy them all again as some HD re-release) would appeal to many. The most important thing to me would be if they get the old kinect games to work. My daughter loves Disneyland Adventures and Dance Central, so not needing 2 cameras by my tv would definitely be a bonus.
I know what product placement is my friend. The point im trying to make to the fanboys on both sides is that Sheldons decision ultimately means nothing in this console "war". He'll be in it in some form even if its just a flash back or an imposter. If the rumours are true and Arkham Knight is the final part of the Rocksteady Trilogy then Joker will be involved somehow. Personally I wouldn't mind provided it's well written plot twist.
He'll just buy both or neither. Though I love seeing how defensive people are getting on here. It's not real. If he picks an Xbone, its not an MS conspiracy...it's a script. Same goes for if he goes with a PS4. Some people need to relax, it's only a TV show, not the killer blow in this ridiculous console war.
Im sure the tech has improved by a huge margin, I just dont see in what way other than graphics. At least I dont see it yet but then its early days I guess. I just dont want to get fooled again by flashy presentations. Damn you kinect, you've made me a techno-sceptic!! :)
I would say "yes", mainstream VR gaming is inevitable ( what with Morpheus, The Rift and what ever unit MS will undoubtedly throw into the mix) but only in the same way that motional control gaming is mainstream.
It will ultimately come down to the games. Remember, VR was done once before, yes the graphics are way better now but is the way it can be used in gaming that much better? Driving, shooting and flying where all done the first time round. While it was cool ...
Please see the comments above yours, 4 games does not make the PS4 a "1080p 60fps machine" though admittedly more so than the X1.
