If you mean my first comment I am honestly not trying to be negative towards the game in anyway. If it's gonna have similarities to a another Halo is by no means a bad choice. My issue is with hypocritical halo haters that idolise Destiny that's all.
Im for it depending on how much they charge to watching. Im already paying for Xboxlive, Sky and Netflix
Hey now thats the same sort of thing they said about Titanfall and that was pretty cool ;)
Dont get me wrong. Having gameplay that feels similar is not a bad thing at all. Provided you liked the feel of Halo. My point is that there are so many people who have ragged on Halo saying how its overhyped and doesnt play that great, it will be interesting to see if suddenly, because its not a MS exclusive game, thay same gameplay is actually brilliant. As for people saying Destiny is nothing like Halo...not in content and ambition no but in graphic design and gunplay (according to those w...
It will be interesting to see which game feels more like the true Halo sequel, Bungie's Destiny or 343's Halo 5. Originators vs Copycats, and I mean that with no disrespect. Halo 4 really felt like a Halo game, they did a great job.
Quite a few reports of Destiny "feeling" like another Halo game (an evoled one to be sure but Halo none the less), which would make sense coming from Bungie.
The question is will all the Halo haters on N4G be okay with that because it's now on their system or will they be annoyed that a promising game apparently feels like a game they detest? Hmmm I wonder.
Im very much on the fence with Destiny. On one side is does look really cool and the concept is very interesting. On the other side the look of it is very "Halo" and to be honest, story wise, I was bored of the Halo universe by the end of 2 and that was back when Bungie still gave a crap so I'm not sure the Destiny universe is going to hold my attention for the several years they are planning on. But hey, I haven't played it yet. I could be, and hopefully am, wrong. We'...
How about, rather than continuosly talk up the power of the cloud, the advantages of ESRAM, DX12 and other such gubbins, they actually show a genuine game (not a tech demo) using these things. That way everyone can see whether its fact or just fluff.
Im not being a hater, I do plan to get a X1 this year, but the whole" so & so will give X1 extra power" thing is really getting old. Hopefully what they show at E3 will put all this behind us.
Glad you liked my comment.
I totally understand where you're coming from.
At the moment I've yet to choose a next gen console. The lack of many truely next gen games on either system doesn't make the choice any easier but it is also the reason for my delay in "upgrading".
To be honest im leaning slightly towards the X1 at the moment. Not because I think its the better machine necessarily but because as a long term 36...
Personally I'd rather be able to play the 360 games I've got by using the disc rather than streaming. Mainly because I dont want to have to pay for them again. I know people say "if you want to play old games just use your old console" and while that's certainly true there's only so much room in my tv cabinet. Hopefully they'll find a way to make an emulator like 'Bleem!' on the Dreamcast (if you dont know Bleem just google it. You could play the PS1 disc...
To be honest, MS is maybe telling the truth but it makes no difference as the results will ultimately come down to each persons internet connection. If you're still on broadband rather than fibre optic (like a large portion of the population) then I doubt it will work as well as they claim. Then again the same can be said for stream gaming I guess, a slow connection will result in less responsive gameplay.
This argument is right up their with "whose exclusives will sell more". It doesnt matter. Remember when Halo 3 outsold every PS3 exclusive that year combined? Did that stop anyones enjoyment of those games? Regarding high scores, if the N4G comments prove anything its that everyone has their own opinion. An example of this would be how some people say they are bored of titanfall already while others say Ryse is alot better than they expected which totally goes against "profess...
*Microsoft Conference*
"Presenting the next generation of FPS...Titanfall!
Only on XboxOne
...(ahem)..oh and 360...(hmmm)...sorry, and pc...(hello)..my bad also available for Apple Mac.....and mobile and 3DS and genesis and gamecube and dreamcast and PC Engine and 32X and Gameboy Advance....Look its available on everything but Sony stuff okay!"
I can understand where he is coming from but some money is better than no money. Lets face it, if he doesnt sign they'll just add his moves, clothes & features to "Creat a Wrestler" and people who want him will just create him anyway.
I can see it all now..the Microsoft conference goes like this; Phil Spencer comes out and talks about X1 having more successful launch than X360, then says you dont want stats you want games. It begins with the latest CoD, Halo, a Gears teaser, new Conkers & Banjo game trailers, Quantum Break & Sunset Overdrive get release dates and it ends with an Indies showcase. Phil says thanks for all the feed back from fans since the last E3. They know they made mistakes but they are now a force...
Fair play to Phil for acknowledging the fact that Sony is running away with it at the moment. Sure it's easy for us to say "well obviously you need to do more, duh" but from MS perspective they could have just said "so what, we're 2nd. The X1 is selling faster than the 360 and we're on track to outsell the WiiU, well done team take the night off". However by openly saying "2nd isnt good enough, we need to do more to change that" is a good move. As the...
I remember the advertising campaign in the UK was shockingly bad. It was all about people competing in normal activities like 3 barbers trying to do the fastest hair cut, or two business woman racing to leave the building. No actual game footage or anything. Compare them to the awesome ones they showed in the States (check'em out on youtube)
The Dreamcast is still my favourite console overall. It had so many great games and innovative features which is even more impressive when you remember how short a period it ran for. Sadly debt created by everything Sega released after the Megadrive/Genesis (mega cd, 32x, saturn), the huge popularity of The Playstation brand and EA refusing to support the system doomed it before it was even released. I wish MS agreed with Sega wanting to make Original Xbox to be compatible with Dreamcast game...
What we need from this years E3 is one megaton "wow I didn't see that coming" announcement from Phil that lets people know that not only does he have big ideas but the MS believes in him enough to follow them through...."we just bought Sega" lol.
Exactly my point. Same thing will happen when Titanfall 2 goes multi platform.
