Starrman is right. Consoles get more from their spec eventually because they are optimized better for. The target is very specific. PC will always be all over the place because you have to account for so many variables. It has always been one of Apple's advantages. Only allow a limited number of parts to be used. That's the thing though, they are going to be $400 consoles. If anything it will be harder for Sony to sell 4K if Scorpio is also $400. As for the Slim people always seem to think the early adopter and the average gamer are the same thing. They aren't. Early adopters buy at launch, mainstream gamers buy when the price hits the sweet spot of $299. Early adopters will buy Scorpio regardless of timing and mainstream will buy Slim because that is their price point. Everyone is happy.

If rain causes craters to fill with water and people drown or get poisoned by gas in it, that's a little different. If horse and men sink into mud and you have to chose between a rescue attempt, leaving them to die or shooting them out of mercy, that would be different. A player stuck sinking in mud can't move, doesn't die but can't respawn would be different. Not at all a paint job.
If it's an elite with a 2tb HD and elite controller the price isn't high. Especially if they go with the hybrid HD again. The 1tb version sold well.
Kotaku and N4G are two very different things. Kotaku has first hand stories. This site is cut and paste. This site also has a strong bias which scares of more than it brings in. I would also bet the average Kotaku reader is far better educated. This site does provide a ton of information since it has so many sources. I don't believe Microsoft was ever planning to show Scorpio. They have almost a year and a half to go. There is no rush to show anything but the slim, a discless One and a stick for streaming media and games.

I still see people complain about the TV portion of the game. Can someone explain the difference between the TV elements and video cut scenes? I mean didn't one Metal Gear have cut scenes that were over a half hour. Some complained, but not on a complain about anything and everything Microsoft does level. Damn right we do. All these years of remasters and I finally get Skyrim and now some complain about remasters. Skyrim was one of the best selling games of all time, if any game deserves a remaster it does.
