It's definitely possible. We have seen Microsoft ip on Nintendo platforms before, depending on Switch sales we might see Nintendo drop some old titles on Xbox. Especially if Microsoft used Azure to provide the infrastructure for a piece of the profits.
So you don't like BC? Curious about your position on remasters. Probably love them right.
Author didn't comment on game play, comments were on technical issues. So gun comment made no sense. It was a tech demo that got a following and instead of admitting that they spent ten years and millions trying to make a game out of it. Low sales will be because it doesn't cut it. It will still win awards and sheep will praise it. Some of it will be sincere. But mostly it will be sheep following instructions. No man's sky all over again.
Long-term it could prove to be a mistake. But it depends on whether Sony releases another console in three years. The nobody is demanding 4k bluray is weak. Nobody was demanding HD period. The government forced the switch with a law. No one demanded bluray and the fact that DVD is still the vast majority of sales is proof the majority of the public don't care about it.
Sony's inclusion of gddr5 may have been in their best interest by allowing many games to play in 1...
This is why you never listen to the reasons developers give for exclusivity. Any reason other than money is probably a lie. The original reason was the game wouldn't get made without Microsoft financial backing. EA didn't want the full risk of a cod replacement but were willing if Microsoft paid a huge part of development cost. As always, follow the money.
Lol, no wonder the world is so screwed up. People read articles on gaming everyday. Specs, cost. They see trends and read interviews. Yet they are incapable of putting together the most basic information. It's a Tegra chip. But you think console launch and $300-400 dollars. Really sad, sad people.
This means the NX will be very cheap. They always felt the Wii U was too expensive and said they would address that with their next machine. I'm betting it will be around $200
People flip flop on the issues in gaming more than politicians do. Is someone actually tracked people's position on different ideas on this site it would completely embarrass some. Loyalty ain't loyalty when it's blind.
No, no they haven't. Hahaha.
No one should mandate it. But at 4.4 or whatever Neo would rarely hit it anyway. Six teraflops has been shown to be capable of it. Even the 5.8 of the 480. So the more advanced Vega gpu of Scorpio shouldn't have an issue with it on the majority of games. With games like Forza pushing 4K/60 with extreme detail. Most will have the same with high detail. But the most demanding games will most likely be 1080/60 with extreme detail and upscaled. Unless they decide to go higher and go with 8-1...
Joe, PlayStation is a part of Sony's electronics division. All of their profits go to the parent company. If that wasn't the case the rest of Sony would have gone out of business a couple of years ago and the parts would have been sold off. Most don't make money. You're mistaking tax shelters for reality. Anyone that has read the business section of a newspaper over the last ten years knows none of those silly rules mean anything. Kaz was promoted to CEO, he didn't quit an...
Joe I'm not sure what your point is, but LLC is usually done to limit exposure to legal action. It doesn't give a subsidiary the freedom to do whatever. It still answers to the board and that board is the same one representing Sony. If they didn't affect each other the Cell and bluray couldn't have nearly destroyed the company. Right now PlayStation money is a major factor in providing revenue. PlayStation profit will then be used wherever it's needed within the company. N...
Not sure how many would wear an Xbox Onesie but they were definitely a thing here a year and a half ago. And not for home, people wore them at the club. It was kinda cute on girls but sadly they sold them for guys too. And some guys actually bought them. Worse thing in men's fashion since skinny jeans.
People must be expecting Neo to cost $600. Neo will contain a cut off Polaris gpu. Two thirds of a 5.8 teraflop card. So just over two thirds.
Vega will be around 2x Polaris and should be 11-12 teraflops. Scorpio should have a cutoff Vega. So a half Vega. Vega should cost $200-299 for a basic card. What is it that makes people think Microsoft will have to pay so much more than what Sony will pay for what amounts to a lesser card compared to what Sony will be getting in the...
Scorpio will be no more than $499. I believe it will be $399 at launch. A six teraflop console next year will be a Vega gpu that has been cut down from full size. Vega will offer 10-12 teraflops so a half unit would be six teraflops. It's a better Polaris, it's not going to be $700. It'll be $300 maybe. Microsoft will use Zen for the CPU and take an initial hit on the console that will change the following summer with the move to 10nm. Plus with Zen being the only core AMD makes g...
Polaris is already doing 4K with the new APIs at just under 6 teraflops. Vega is a better, more efficient architecture. I'm sure it won't have a problem hitting 4K. Plus this will allow easy ports from PC.
Shadowknight you're forgetting what experts like Carmack and Cerny have stated about the closed architecture of consoles. You're not only acting as if Microsoft pays what we would for their gpus, you're ignoring the extreme level of optimization in a closed system.
