I could see this going in several directions. I could see it being used just to get people to hold onto their games and allow Bethesda to sell more. I can see it providing low cost horse armor and giving the developers the ability to move on to something new while still supporting the old games. But what I'd hope to see is this being a training ground for new developers. Whether beginners or vets it could allow people to publish content and build a portfolio. And it could bring in people ...

People should stop thinking of dynamic resolution as a bad thing. It is maybe the best thing to come to consoles ever. It means no more remasters. No need for PSNow or anything else where you have to buy your games again. This is how you play your old games. But with better fps and visuals on every new generation.

PC already has the 4k assets so they are likely to do it.

Apparently many are.

Next thing you know some fanboys will say a card designed for machine learning was dropping too many frames. How about we wait for the gaming version like a normal human being. Then you can act like an idiot in your "war of the most likely not a stock holder so not really sure why you're so into these ridiculous brand wars that only make you look like a sheep that's been mind fu*kd by a marketing campaign" battle.

#Good luck with that.

Some seem to have the misconception that dynamic resolution means not native 4k. That's not the case. It means the resolution can drop if need be. It doesn't mean it will drop. While some games use dynamic resolution in order to make the game look better and run more smoothly on the console, Microsoft is pushing dynamic resolution for different reasons.

Microsoft wants dynamic resolution for UWP and BC. They have a OS that can emulate different architectures and mak...

Actually if they use dynamic resolution and you eventually get an X you will have the 4k version already.

Xbox One is a Windows 10 device capable of running those same programs you use. It could video edit and do PhotoShop. It may not be as fast but it can do those things. Microsoft has been talking about allowing these things for a couple of years now and trying to entice developers to use UWP. Original Xbox and 360 emulation are a product of Microsoft's aim to make Windows the platform and to get people to stop thinking of devices. Cellular PC is another sign that all of the things you can ...

Because not everyone wants to pay $1500 for a computer rig. Plus the settings will be better than mid-level and in two years, or less, someone will release a game that makes your efforts a waste of $1,100.

The funniest thing is you PC master racers haven't figured out that the level of graphics you look down your nose at today on consoles is the level you paid $1,500 to attain less than two years ago. In fact, lesser settings. And you bragged about it then too. Now it&...

Opinions do switch daily. Like behold the power of PS3 to the power of X doesn't matter. What about exclusives. Remember when the 50% more compute engines mattered on the base current generation consoles. Now it doesn't mean a thing when Microsoft has the most power.

If what you think changes on a whim you aren't actually thinking.

For those saying Microsoft changing the Jaguar cores doesn't make a difference means you believe there has been much of any improvement on any class of chip ever. Intel's tic-toc was a die shrink for a big improvement and a refinement for a sometimes ten percent or more improvements. Aren't all of the chip names for AMD like Carrizo and Richland the same architecture with refinements that provided sizeable boost in performance? Now because it's Microsoft that isn't possibl...

Is it? On a racing game. The base Xbox One does Forza in 1080/60 and that's 1.23 teraflops. Isn't that a 9+teraflop card?

Yeah, cause it should for what it cost. Learn what's worth bragging about.

Hey Kickspinfilter hope you are angry with people that go on and on about exclusives. I have always held the stance they don't matter. Console manufacturers are hoping to hit the mainstream and games like Battlefield and CoD are what really count. A handful of exclusives really sell but currently the 25 million copy selling games are multiplats. But isn't it Sony fans that go on and on about exclusives. That claim Microsoft exclusives don't count because of PlayAnywhere. So that&#...

Rime, so if Sony starts having PS4 more games on Now and starts streaming to PC you'll stick to the idea that PC means non-exclusive? I'm betting that idea will suddenly change.

BTW, Now will eventually come to PC with all the Sony exclusives. Money rules. Not fanboys.

Another Michael Pachter type. The word is out you can troll gaming sites for hits so they prop up some clown and have his lips move. If that were true then just about every console launch in history was marketed wrong. Aside from Nintendo just about every console advertises power.

Microsoft was completely committed to first party exclusives when they set aside one billion dollars for exclusives.

But Ballmer retired and Nadella cancelled some things. We know they have been producing exclusives because we've seen several get cancelled. Which is good if the games weren't u...

Freddy until we play it we don't know what the single player is meant to showcase. It might be about huge explosions and objects on screen. Enemies on screen, AI and carnage are more important than realistic graphics for a game like Crackdown. Anything else would be like CoD zombie mode with only a handful of really pretty zombies.
