Not surprised this happened. I predicted it would. Sony spent a lot of money trying to kill Xbox by buying exclusives over the years. It was wrong for them to complain about Microsoft spending money to compete. No matter how bad you want to claim Microsoft management is, this was the most boneheaded move in gaming history. More than Don Mattrick's 360 comment. Sony should drop the case and never speak of it again.

It's not like they can't make it Series x exclusive. It wouldn't be the first game.

Actually your analysis has a problem. If a company chooses to do business only with companies based in their country it doesn't mean outsiders have a problem.

Sony should have realized where this was headed when they failed to give Microsoft any respect. So many Sony fans put Microsoft down no matter what. That led to game exclusivity for Sony and lower sales for Microsoft. It was completely predictable that Microsoft would eventually start buying companies once they got ceo support.

Studios died at Microsoft because they didn't have a cohesive goal with gaming. You had people all over the place on direction. Now they have a ceo completely committed to gaming and that understands the tech developed for gaming has other applications.

Man, I've been staying away and somewhere along the way Sony fans started admitting Sony pays for exclusives sometimes? 2022 is a really weird year.

Darth it's just Sony fans way of admitting the ps3, 4 and 5 are bombs. Without having to say the words. Because if XBO was a who bomb because of lower sales then the next 3 Sony consoles were too because of sales. That's if you're dealing with consistent, honest people who make rational judgements and aren't spewing fanboy hate. That then whine for the government to come save them when a more financially strong company uses smart business tactics in the age of subscription se...

That makes better sense than buying everything you're interested in and finding out afterwards that you hate half of them.

The Swedish government was willing to chase Julian Assange across the planet for nothing but can't arrest a Microsoft employee? Nonsense.

Fake news.

Really? Microsoft bought Bethesda a couple of years ago. Which company has the most exclusives this year? I'm sure it's still Sony. Why didn't the Bethesda deal kill competition? Why didn't all of these years that Sony had a huge exclusives advantage kill gaming? What exactly does Microsoft owning Activision do differently that will make it so bad for Sony? Nothing. Remember when japanese people used to say they preferred Playstation because an Xbox was too big. So of course t...

Lifexline this is a distraction. Nothing else. The US and UK are apparently blowing up pipelines so America can sell Europeans gas costing ten times the normal price but the EU is focused on video games? This is a cover story to get people to focus on anything but the number of actually important things going on in the world.

Omg, I would never have thought of that. Or maybe I look at the npc running at speeds a cheetah couldn't hit if it was an actual pitch. It has nothing to do with having the ball. If you understood what a 1.2 second forty means you wouldn't be making excuses for poor programming. EA would develop a game with better npc decision making instead of making up for poor programming with superhuman abilities. Let me put it in simpler manner. Usain Bolt couldn't outrun the npc players on h...

By solid do you mean opponents can only run at slightly superhuman speeds when you manage to get a through pass ten yards ahead of them? EA has some guys that run a 1.2 sec forty without breaking a sweat. They seem to be confusing the fifa and Marvel licenses.

I might finally be in the market for a fifa game again. If only the NFL would develop a clue. Madden has been trash for over twenty years with its stiff motion and fake physics. But as long as the money hungry NFL gets a payoff fans get screwed. We need NFL 2k back. Their last game was still better than anything EA has done since then. And that's a sad commentary on the EA franchise.

@Flavor

That can't be true. There's no way Sony would use their market leader status to get ip ownership from small developers. We all know Sony doesn't pay for exclusives. /S

Man you're laying the whole victim thing on thick. Sony started this process but the board is in Microsoft's pocket?🤔 And what floodgates are being opened? Microsoft has a history of working with others. They've tried to do cross-platform. Minecraft is everywhere despite being an opportunity to get children hooked on the Microsoft brand. The long history of exclusivity, whether paid or not, will be proof of just how much harm can be done by one console manufacturer or ano...
