Yeah I want my money taken from me the old fashioned way. The republicans and democrats get together to setup the corporations to have everything. Or pay tens of thousands for an education that you can get with a few hundred dollars worth of basic cable bills. "cause if you don't chose one of the major parties, the terrorist they work with win.

Uncharted done by a in-house studio that has had more time and more support than a third party developer. It should take them less time to develop their games. Building hype for a forgotten game is the reason to announce it might still be made for the 360. If the company gets the sense that people are interested again, they port it cheap and steal as much money for a crap game as they can before people realize it's crap.

Go back to the "Big Bang Theory" and sit on your...

Either that or it is being released on the 360 now to maximize the early profit. The game is probably crap, but since it won't cost much to get it ported to the 360, they will try to make as much as possible the first week before the word gets out.

For the people that think the 360 will downgrade this than you should be lucky the crap is still listed as coming out. Considering it was announced 3 years ago, if it isn't finished, they made a mistake doing it for the PS3 in the firs...

But they believe Blu-ray is selling well. Even though everything about Blu-ray sales is based on statistics and not sales numbers. On top of that, the Blu-ray information is coming from US sources. In between news on Michael Jackson and Jon and Kate. The US media has made it clear they can't be trusted. I take everything from the vast majority of them with a grain of salt. Watch news from another country if you want closer to the truth.

They told you the economy was fine too. Ke...

You didn't see the last quarterly from Sony did you? Or any in the last couple of years. Sony doesn't have a lot of money. They are not like Microsoft. Microsoft has billions laying around. And while Sony has billions on hand, they owe 3 times what they have.

But getting to the main article, this is just another in the drive down the stock price game. For the last week or so, articles have been released to drive the stock price down so that "analyst"(read:crook s) can ...

Not talking horseshoes. Toshiba's HD DVD is still sold in a lot of places, just check Amazon or DVDEmpire, and it beats blu-ray in sales on a regular basis. There was an article about it recently.

I've been in the same place on this issue from the start. And if you have read my previous comments, you would know from the very beginning that I believed that Blu-ray and HD DVD would fail. Blu-ray has just lasted longer. It has nothing to do with Sony either. I buy Sony products. I owned a PS1. Didn't get a PS2 because I was into PC gaming at the time. I've recommended Sony TVs. My brothers current HDTV is a Sony I recommended. I actually hope to buy a Sony SXRD projector.

The PC version of every game released on all three. The PS3 version always seems to get downgraded, but the PC version always comes out looking the best. Why is it that the PC version never ever gets downgraded. Just deal with the fact that the PS3 is full of theoretical power. It may never show any advantage at all in the hands of 90% of the developers.

It looks like what it looks like on the PS3 because that is what Square is capable of doing with the PS3. It has nothing to do with the 360. In-house Sony teams do better because they have had the time with the hardware and have the resources and expertise of each other. Same reason why Microsoft in-house can do better with the 360. But the 360 also has the advantage of familiar architecture and better tools for outside devs.

Blame yourselves for being sheep. So will the PC version be downgraded too. No it will not. The PS3 just isn't what Sony said it would be. And Square just isn't as good as they were supposed to be. Stop blaming others for getting pimped.

And wasn't the PS3 version almost finished when they started the 360 version. So it's Sony fanboys belief that Square went back and recoded everything they did for the PS3 so they could look the same. But, they didn't downgrade the PC version. B...

You must have been asleep for awhile. HD DVD has been outselling Blu-ray for quite a some time.

Funny that some of the people think this doesn't matter. If they believe that Blu-ray is making such huge inroads on DVD, then they have to believe this is making huge inroads on both. In addition, the Chinese economy is recovering now and they have well over a billion consumers. For a expanding consumer economy that is a huge number.

And don't kid yourselves about the st...

I have to give it to Sony though, they have managed to convince many with this little numbers games. Whenever a company has a major seller on it's hands, they love to talk about it. Think Microsoft and Halo. We knew the numbers a day or two after launch. Even when Twilight was released, the studios talked about it selling over 3 million copies the first week. Same with the Dark Knight. We even knew how many of those were Blu-ray. This movie might have only sold 500,000 total copies across all...

Launching a year early worked very well for them. All of their research said it was a major factor in determining a winner in things. I don't think they will abandon that mentality. The new Xbox will launch no later than 2011.

so far like the original Xbox, the PS3 has been a huge flop. Not only did it completely lose the marketshare Sony had, it has but them over 5 billion in the hole and climbing. In fact after last quarter it has to be quickly nearing the 6 billion mark. And before it's said and done, Blu-ray will be in the same boat. It hasn't been able to outsell HD DVD for sometime. It's pretty bad when you still can't beat a format that has been dead for a year and a half.

There is no way they made that much of a cut in the last six months. It was estimated to cost $450 late last year. Now it suddenly drops an additional $200. And the estimates done don't include things like software and royalties. I believe they are under $400, but nowhere near $240.

Retailers don't make much from the sale of games and consoles. It's only around $2 for games and maybe $10 per console. Gamestop sells more than anyone but 67% of their income comes from used games an...

First I apologize for the parenting remark. I'm so used to debating with people with the minds of morons that I forget myself sometimes. Back on topic, while I said scratching, I believe it was cracking.

And you are right, I don't own a Blu-ray player. But that is irrelevant. I don't argue the better picture and sound, I argue the cost. HD DVD was the best option. While I never bought that either. I believed, and still do, that they both would fail. HD already has and Blu-ray is...

I've never lost one disc, let alone one of a set. Didn't your parents teach you to put your toys up. Don't get me wrong, I've broken a lot of toys over the years. But I was 5. I guess losing disc goes hand in hand with the unwillingness to get up and change a disc. When it comes to scratching disc, I rarely do that either. It's one of the reasons I refuse to trade in games. I've handed a year old game to a worker in Gamespot and get asked if I ever played it. And then still get offered $7 for...

Either that or changing disc must cause cancer or something. They also must have for gotten that like a computer, the PS3 AND 360 can install the entire game to the hard drive. Another thing that is weird is the comments about the possibility of losing one of the 360 disc. I knew Sony had created a disc with more space on it, but they should really push the fact that it is apparently impossible to loose the disc. Plus they could completely turn the company around if they used that technology ...

I think the opposite is true. The restructuring that is saving Sony money was Stringer. The divisions being consolidated was something that needed to be done. The divisions have needed to work more close for years. If it hadn't been for the changes that Stringer made in the last year, Sony would be in far worse shape. And remember, these are things he wanted to change much earlier. Others in the company fought him every step of the way. If anything, he will be firing and moving a lot more exe...

They know MS is nowhere near a monopoly in search. Getting this deal approved is just an acknowledgment of the old days when MS didn't have lobbyist to pay-off, uh hum, sorry, "donate" to campaigns of government officials. MS spends hundreds of thousands on contributions now and never has problems from the government anymore. They just didn't understand how the game worked in the past.
