That is a lot of cars. But now with damage, better physics, chat and messages. Racing lines. Long list of things. You could have simply said now with more Forza.

Glad to see someone is still using their head. Until real numbers come out we don't know what this means. I do believe the PS3 will sell much better with the price drop. I believe the sales will now most likely consistently beat the 360 worldwide. But I will not believe that there were still thousands of people buying PS3s the week before an announced $100 price drop. It's most likely sales dropped down to a few thousand the week before the drop. Like you said, 1000% up on 1 console is only 1...

Obviously someone didn't read and just looked at the pretty pictures. It is a early build and will use the latest UE3. The latest version of the engine includes a lot of the new things that will appear in UE4.

@Pandamobile

Like the UE2, 3 has received constant updates. Go back and watch some of the video walk-throughs of GOW 2. That had an updated version and the engine will continue to be upgraded until they launch UE4.

Name those profitable products in the Xbox division. There aren't any. Zune, Surface and Web TV are all money losers to this point. Advertising for Office and Windows has all of the profits from those sales go to other departments. Yet that advertising cost hundreds of millions for the Devices division. The last three years from Sony though would have been very profitable for the PS2 and PSP. So while the MS numbers are closer to 5 billion in losses for the Xbox itself, the Sony losses are cl...

Natal is capable of everything the Wii is and more. Have you actually watched the 3DV Systems video of the camera before Microsoft came along.

It's well known. Look it up.

There's a reason for that. Older cars are more solid because they are made with heavier more dense materials. Newer cars are not only made of lighter materials, they are designed to deform to dissipate the energy of the crash. By doing that the accident is far more survivable for the people inside it. The people in the more solid car have harder things to bounce off of and since the car doesn't take the energy, they get it. But the "damage" in GT looks fake. I bet it looks the same...

to know that it would make a difference. The question is really how much? I think it will be big enough to finally equal 360 sales in the US. The problem is it might not be enough to actually catch the 360 this gen.

Microsoft made over a billion in revenue on Live. If they add a hard drive to the arcade and really push the higher end games like Shadow Complex, it would translate to a lot for Microsoft. A $15 game with MS taking 25% that sells a million copies is almost 4 million cash. They don't take much time to make you don't share with a store or license disc. Make 'em fast and cheap and it adds up quick.

I think you're right. With Arcade games coming in at over 100 MBs on a regular basis, it's needed. And $60 would easily cover that cost.

Another thing is, Microsoft may have proved capable of keeping a secret and the additional money is for Natal. I don't see any real reason that it couldn't be ready. The software can be upgraded after release so even if it is 90% ready and needs adjusting, they can make the adjustments later. And the camera has been available for a couple of ye...

I think they pick and choose which games are priced based on retail sales. An older game that most retailers don't want to use the space for can be priced the same. A game that still makes a little profit for the retailer might be priced more. I haven't really looked at the prices, but they have to maintain a good working relationship with retailers. It is still their main source of sales. Matching their prices and cutting them out completely makes them demand more when you want to promote yo...

When the CEO of the companies you both work for get finished playing around and finally run their companies into the ground, you will be a few of the employees that deserve to be laid off. CEO like this moron with their constant price raising and their consistent wage suppression are a huge part of why we are in a global crisis now. Plus the people that think like you two and believe the free market is the way or the bad economy is no ones fault. I hope neither of you is in a position to have...

According to John Carmack, there will be little difference between the versions. The design of his new engine is supposed to allow almost unlimited textures. So even if the console versions aren't exactly like the PC version, it should be the best looking console game ever. And the console owners saved about $1000 compared to what most gaming PC owners spend.

So I will believe Carmack instead of you. He has a better track record.

I will agree that fanboys are worthle...

The id are lazy people. This is not the work of a lazy company. If this game releases and looks like this, and I have little doubt it will, Carmack will once again show why he is considered one of the greatest programmers the game industry has ever had. And with id offering a better tool set this time with there engine, even Crytek has to go back to the drawing board if they can do 3x this.

The Elite was making a nice profit for a while now. Dropping it to $299, after parts renegotiation, allows them to still make a profit and it will boost the sales. Once Natal is included, and Valhalla installed, they will still be making a little money or just breaking even. They will also have an increased number of people who will want Natal, but jumped on a $299 Elite.

It will also allow them to keep the same price while dropping cost next year when Natal is released. They cou...

There are too many gamers that don't understand the importance of sales. It seems that many think games are made for free. They are called developers. But they are companies. If they don't get the sales they need they go out of business. Then you don't get anymore games. When it happens to bad companies, it's good. But sometimes good games don't get bought and bad companies disappear. Stop thinking the sales are unimportant if you want the games to keep coming.

This card will most likely cost more than the device in the beginning. So unless you want the PS3 to go back to $600 or more, slow down. I do hope this will make SanDisk reconsider closing plants to drive memory prices back up. I don't have a Memory Stick device but have several MicroSD devices. But this will also drive down the cost of memory in MP3 players while boosting the capacity.

Impressive all the same.

I'm just sayin'. I don't want either the republicans or democrats involved with anything period. Both parties are completely useless. I'm not sure Obama's comments were racist. I think he instantly took the side of a friend. I think both the guys were wrong in that situation. The cop for letting his ego get the best of him, and the professor for thinking it had anything to do with race. I would bet the professor jumped the gun when the officer showed up and asked about a robbery. And the cop ...
