It's strange to still be blaming developers when Sony has changed their direction and admitted the Cell architecture was a mistake. Strange, but not unexpected.
Logic,
Sometimes someone needs to lash out. You can as eloquent as possible and get nowhere. So when trying to remove a wall sometimes you have to use a sledgehammer. If news channels had any class this wouldn't have been a story. But few people in the business do anymore. They use witch hunts to make a profit. It's not about addressing real issues.
People have always been violent. And the US congress has a lot of nerve speaking out about anything. Bu...
But if there is a next gen version why not be the only system on the market for it. You would clean up with the hardcore for June, July and August. GTA5 brings you a boost in September. Then the holiday season carries you the rest of the year. June actually makes perfect sense. Your main audience in the Summer would be the hardcore gamers and we all know that they will know it's out there. And they won't have to worry about housewives and their Christmas list yet. Plus the software ma...
Ju, I'm not sure you're right. It could make sense. A June release is right around E3. The 360S released around that time and did big sales. A new console with a lot of new games would get people in the stores. Hardcore gamers don't check the month before they buy.
If you had a tiered release schedule like the Sony rumors it really makes sense. The US and Japan in June and Europe by the Holiday season. Though for Microsoft, you don't have to worry about Japan....
I haven't read the story connected to this comment section. I just wanted to look and see how long it would take for someone to bring up Kinect. Then I blinked. Amazing how feeble some minds can be. It would have been a foolish move for any gaming company to waste a new experience on a console that had already far outlived it's run. Microsoft was lucky to have an opportunity to extend this generation as long as they did. Why not save your new IP for a far more powerful machine and a m...
The problem is the new Playstation and Xbox will be out this year most likely. And they will quickly pass the Wii U in quality. Since the architecture is pretty much the same as the Wii with new innards, it will quickly be outpaced by the others. And if RAM rumors are true, the 2 in the Wii U won't matter. SmartGlass will make the controller look like a bad deal.
I'm just not sure what the Wii U has to offer besides the old titles their fans like. If they had pushed ...
How old is EA? It may be the fourth generation for them.
There has been some info on the Wii U and it's main parts. The parts are old parts. Intel retracted the info about the CPU being a Power7 core. The die size says it isn't since the Power7 is smaller. Same for the GPU. Not much on Sony but rumors. But Microsoft admitted that the leaked document from 2010 was theirs. It shows a machine they estimate to be several times the ability of a 360. At least eight times. So that is where a lot of the speculation comes from.
It might be because people realize that they can add $50-100 and get a real next gen console in a few more months. Might not have to add anything.
Zeon, some doom articles might be based on the financial articles that state that Nintendo has lost a ton of money because the Wii U isn't selling like they expected.
Compared to the machines that will be released by Sony and Microsoft this year it is. Now they are stuck waiting at least four years to launch another. It may be slightly better, but it will quickly fall behind in power. And considering it full of old parts, they could have done this on the cheap two years ago.
I don't believe GoW was a game that needed a big budget advertising campaign. It sells by itself. Money would have been better spent on something else. Like advertising Beyond later in the year.
American voters are a bigger threat to everyone. Bush decided it was okay to disappear people. Got re-elected. Obama thought it was a good idea too. He got re-elected. The voters are definitely the issue.
Americans do vote these guys in. How 'bout we start voting for grownups and stop voting for crooks and opportunist. If you live in Tennessee and are a republican and you vote for idiots like this, you're part of the problem.
The problem with Americans(And I'm one, I vote smarter though)is they have a congress with a 16% approval rating, but everyone thinks their guy is great. Look, the vast majority of them suck. Stop putting them back in office. Stop voting one ...
Now this is how you get the attention off your big donors.
Hazardman, you named a lot of great movies. Leave them alone.
It's not about games or movies. It's about a country full of people that checked out on their responsibility to themselves. Parents can't be home for their kids. Can't make enough money to. The problem with America is we are being priced out of our own lives. And we vote for the people that make it happen.
People make fun of Fox because while all of the major media outlets are jokes, Fox is, by far, the worse. You can find stats that say anything. But you can also find a former White House Press Secretary that says he sent them talking points everyday. You can find people on that network that use the same phrases over and over.(Spiking the football, anyone). You find far more radical idiots on Fox. And though they claim others push conspiracy theories, no one pushes them more than Fox(birthers,...
If voice control is the difference, how did we get on movement. I understand you are saying it's easy too. Maybe MS paid them to add it. But maybe they also thought it would be more useful than movement ability. Movement doesn't seem to be that popular. The voice commands do seem to make it better though.
With Kinect and voice you do next to nothing since the Kinect device understands voice on it's own. Other developers have made that clear in the past. Move doesn't. The only difference is voice control.
Nintendo are idiots. They release a last current generation console just months before their competitors will announce next generation consoles. Even with big games coming out, they will be quickly be caught and passed by the new consoles. It was one thing to be somewhat behind in power. But being years behind will force a price-cut sooner than they wanted and will force them to move to the next generation much sooner than they wanted to.
Wii U should have been released back...
Adding Move support adds cost to the developer they apparently didn't want to spend. Adding Kinect voice is little cost since Kinect has that ability built in.
Your comment still doesn't hold today. Saying there are more Kinect games is like saying there are more Android games. Of course there are. They are easier and cheaper to make. But when it comes to the titles that actually sell, Microsoft has most of those games on their roster.
In any given year you can look at the top twenty and ,save Nintendo, MS has 80% or more of those games on it's console too. Most of the main AAA games that people want are on both system. So t...
