If MS is losing so many Indie developers I can't wait to see the effects. Right now there is a non-stop pile of Indie games each week that makes it hard to keep track. Plus I wish someone would back up all of these leaving devs comments with some leaving dev facts. Otherwise sense there have been articles against both main consoles, I would assume as many are leaving PSN. Especially since we know Sony wants the rights to your games if they give support. I would think it's kinda hard f...

Processing done on the Cloud? Who do they think they are, Gaikai?

And if you lose your connection the game no longer works, right. That's what happens when you start a game in Crossfire and one of you're GPUs breaks. You can never play that game again.

People are so funny. But someone playing the long game might look at this as a little something extra provided by a Gold account. Triple the power with that $40 annual payment. I'll take that over a...

If that guy is that dumb IGN should just fire him. MS clear E3 would be about the games. If his comprehension skills are that lacking he shouldn't be a Editor. He shouldn't have gone in looking for games.

Life must be wonderful in bubbles. Where are people getting the idea that any division of Sony has been consistently successful. All of them have had years over the last five where they lost money. And gaming is included in that. Movies have lost, finance has lost and music has lost. TVs have lost more than any.

Sony would be betting on the success of the PS4 if they were to split it into the Entertainment division. And that would most likely be the case. Almost a sure thing...

Lack of backwards compatibility is one of the dumbest things a console maker can do. With BC the older console may be given to a younger sibling or relative. That means the potential for selling a game twice. They forgo adding a ten dollar chip that would be made up on any one title.

I think this might Microsoft has created a new type of machine. The PS4 and 720 will both include many HSA(Heterogeneous Systems Architecture)features. Many believe this architecture is the future of computers. I think maybe MS has the first fully HSA machine. God created man and man created the next new kind of computer. A new level of power.

MS has said E3 will be about the games. Tomorrow will be about the hardware, the interface and what can be done with them.

I think(hope) Nintendo has learned their lesson. Their next machine should be a more forward looking device. But then, I thought that would be the case with the Wii U.

More power is always better. But more power will come from design in a console. Not throwing more transistors at it like on PC. I think MS will have more power but it will be a new design, not an overly expensive part like Titan.

Sony fans are as bad as republicans sometimes. You have apps on 3 devices, I'm sure you have a cellphone, but if someone else does it I hate it. If you happen to be Microsoft. While Sony works out ways to get money for PSN Sony fans push for MS to make Live free. Exclusives. Yeah, how about another Twisted Metal. I wonder how much Jaffe's company lost on that mistake. If those things matter to people so much, buy a PS4. But also keep in mind that Sony almost went out of business givin...

Underpowered compared to the consoles coming out later this year. They waited too late to launch the Wii U. If they had released it in 2010 they would have had three years of having the best consoles. Instead they released a console that is better then current generation, but weak compared to the machines coming out in a few months. And on a different architecture. So there would have to be a completely different version. It's a business decision.

As I finished writing t...

Joseph Goebbel was a propaganda genius. A complete a-hole. But he understood that people can easily be manipulated. And the Internet makes it easier than ever.

They supposedly did it with watermarks and things like the consoles and controllers with the tape patterns on them. If your pattern shows up online, we know you leaked it. I also don't think they have actually released final hardware to anyone. So no one really knows what the real specs are.

The idea that the game studios are working on hardware or making Apps is silly. It's one of those things one person said and others just took it and ran with it. The PS3 and 360 both do most of the same things the next Xbox will do as far as entertainment. At least now there will be separate equipment in the 720 to handle the extras. MS has over 65,000 employees. More enough to make games and movies and TV shows too. What's next. Sony has to stop making TVs because it takes away from ...

Unfortunately it won't be dominated by Netflix. Unless something changes. I was a Netflix user from back when the envelopes were yellow in the early days. But once they started streaming and proved the idea, the studios have been going out of their way to cut them off. That is why Netflix gets movies so late if at all for streaming. All of the content holders are starting their own streaming services. Hulu is a bunch of networks working together.

The key for Netflix will...

The console is so under-powered compared to the others that a separate version of everything would have to be made. The Wii U also isn't selling well. Especially not for hardcore games. Why would EA make a special version of everything for Nintendo? Nintendo should start to make consoles closer to everyone else again.

The CPU may be meh by PC desktop PC standards. But the design of the APU is geared toward off-loading compute code to the GPU more efficiently than a desktop PC. So the APU, if the changes to Jaguar are working as intended, will more than make up for the meh CPU. Add the inefficiencies of writing to the memory without constant flushes and it should even out fine. There should be no reason the PS4 can't do it. If it can't, I would bet the majority of gaming PCs out there couldn't e...

My ideas are fine. You're just dumb. And to prove it. Let's watch what Sony does and see how dumb my ideas are. Why don't you add some of your own ideas to see if you are as clueless as you seem.

Also, if Sony was sooo smart like you imply they wouldn't have been on the verge of bankruptcy recently. They had all but two of their divisions losing money over the last five years. Plus some of what I mentioned are things they are rumored to be working on.

This isn't the time to split up the company. It's time for the opposite. Sony already has all of the parts needed for an Entertainment company. Besides the financial and insurance businesses, it really is all about entertainment. Most companies are either buying or forming divisions to create their own content. Design their own chips. And design their own equipment. Sony is already doing most of that. It just needs to get good at somethings again. And profitable at all of it again. Mi...

You can tell this is an article that should be ignored based on that opening paragraph. Microsoft continues to push always on DRM? How? By Internet rumors spread that a console that hasn't been announce will be always on. I know where one of the Weekly World New reporters ended up.
