Interesting idea but I doubt there is anything to it. I don't think there is anything to the rumor that MS is six months behind either. But for MS to buy exclusivity on major titles it would cost a ton of money. They could buy new studios for less. CoD sells ten million plus on the PS. It would cost MS 500 million or more to get exclusivity. Buying lesser games like Respawn's new IP would be possible because they have no track record on that IP. They could be buying traditionally PC g...

3D glasses may be cheap now. A few years ago they weren't. It's a dead tech again, that's why it's cheap. A few years ago the glasses were $150-200 each. So compare this technology with other technologies at launch. Like a DVD player. They were $600 at launch. They are $20 now too.

Strongman isn't the difference between the PSEye with the PS4 and Kinect 2.0 software? Otherwise they are the same parts.

Some people already own a projector. Some companies expect you to buy a TV for new disc, games or formats like 3D. 3D TVs require $150 glasses for each person. If you've got three kids you're looking at $750 for the family. The projector is much cheaper and has more function than the glasses.

Uhhh, no. Respawn is most of the key people from IW that created CoD and created it's engine. The IW at Activision isn't really IW. It's what was left over after almost everyone left to form Respawn. Respawn are the people that made the first CoD at EA. Or I should say the tech demo that became CoD that EA hated because they were so much happier with the eventually failed original Medal of Honor.

I will agree that they started to get complacent. But Kottick's ...

Respawn is the company made up of former Infinity Ward people. This has nothing to do with CoD, they work at EA.

Arai, I would agree if they had a ton of money. But this is their first game. If MS says we'll pay for it, it would be stupid not to take the deal. If it's a Epic/Gears type deal it might not be worth it. But if they got a 50 million exclusivity deal, there is no risk in that. You lose half of your potential audience, but you also don't have to worry ab...

Explain please. It seems to me that if someone owns a patent and charges for it, everyone that uses it should pay them. According to Motorola that wanted fair compensation, but then they decided to charge MS far more than they charged anyone else. It seems to me that Google is just trying to stick it to MS. If not explain otherwise.

In most companies you would be right. But there are two problems with your initial comment about Microsoft. The main one being that Xbox isn't making money. To believe Xbox doesn't make money means you believe the 360 is sold at a loss. Which would mean after two die shrinks on the CPU and GPU and then combining the CPU and GPU onto one chip, also shrinking the power supply, box size, eliminating a fan, re-negotiating parts deals and several other things, th...

It sounds like Sony has made some modification that have made it a better chip than it was. But I wouldn't count on it being better than the Durango chip for several reason. One is that MS has been working with these chips for a longer time, an early version is in the 360 S. Two, MS has a huge chip architecture division with two labs. Third, MS is spending over 1.5 billion a year in that division and Skype is not the part of the division using most of it. I believe MS plans to use these c...

If all of those other exclusives meant anything to me I would have already had a PS3. Most were things I didn't play or didn't think were worth the big deal made of them. Heavy Rain is just a series of QTEs. Not interested. I don't play GoW type games. Haven't bought a Tomb Raider game in years so why buy Uncharted.

Actually I just looked at my. It's not clear. Beyond looks like it worth having. HR seemed to be too, but turned out to be QTEs. I hate QTEs. ...

A little more time and a few reviews from friends and there may be a game that will make me buy a PS3. I hope this is coming to PS4. I don't want to spend that much for one game. Nothing short of amazing.

Microsoft spent over 1.5 billion dollars on R & D in the Devices Division last year. I'm sure they can handle 3-D and games at the same time. Here's a link that gives you the company wide expenditures for R & D for MS in the last few years directly from their financial statement.

Actually Skype is supposed to replace all of the communication features of the next Xbox. SO if it hits Skype in the next ten years, it should hit the next Xbox.

Yeah, there's no way you can hire new people that can make a good game. Everyone knows every good game ever made was made by Rare or people from rare. So it's not possible a new team could make a new game.

Logic tell me what would happen if the 99% stopped doing business with the 1%. We would still be able to grow food. Protect ourselves from the environment and other things. We advance most of the technology and make built everything needed for society. Most rich people contribute little really. They fix laws in their favor. They exploit less informed and oppress any opposition. They rewrite history.

No one would really have to sacrifice much if we got rid of most of the 1%. T...

The problem with America is the slant that makes something like Kotticks salary possible. Companies get huge tax breaks that regular people don't get. Lots of workers deserve more than they make, but it doesn't happen because douches like him make 65 million. A lot of these perks executives get have tax breaks built-in specifically for them. Where's the tax break for regular citizens that lost their homes to scams and and then were penalized further by...

So Microsoft and Sony will be leaving DRM up to developers? Who would have thought it. It's what has always made sense. CoD, might have it. Some new IP, probably won't. A game that sells 20 million copies and sells 5+ million used copies would be a prime candidate for this and a used games block. A timed block(say sixth months) wouldn't hurt them much at all. It would hurt Gamestop though.
