They should be reflected, but judging from the amount of issues I have experienced personally, it does not butcher the game. gamespot gave it a 10 and I highly disagree. With the lack of polish and overall slight awkwardness to the way the game can control at times, a 10 is out of the question. That being said, the game is so ambitious and does so much right that even with the issues I've experinced here or there, it's still worthy of a 9. If it were a lesser game, the issues would be...

It's not about the main story. The main story is a "mcguffin" to set you on your way in each of the regions in the game and each of the main quests and side quests have plenty of engaging plots and subplots and it's a world that feels much more connected than any open world game I've played before it. There's real narrative and lore-filled purpose behind every mission, major or minor and that is what makes The Witcher 3 so special.

They didn't just make it HD. They completely redrew the models and backgrounds from the ground up and I'm pretty sure they redid the soundtrack too. It's still 2D, but it looks MUCH better than it did before. THAT is the remake you're talking about. They didn't just increase the output and rendering resolution

If it's useless, why does it need to cost money. 2 generations ago, cosmetics were unlocks led uou got for completing games under certain parameters or doing this and that. Nowadays, that same crap is locked behind paywalls? Why? It doesn't need to be that way.

When you have games out there CHARGING for fucking useless cosmetics, the fact they're giving that for free when so many other developers charge for it is commendable.

You lost me at narrow taste in games. I love all games of all genres. Action rpg's or turn based RPG's. It doesn't matter. If it's good, it's good.

Ummm...it's not just a week apart. They get the copies way before. You think publications had a day to play the witcher 3? No. They had 1-2 weeks.

All I can gather from these screenshots is instead of increasing texture detail, they just pump color everywhere? Wasn't the drab grey look an artistic choice???? Sure, it was boring to look at, but at least it had a purpose and the later games did have color, but they weren't overly bright like this. This looks less like a "remaster" or more like a "recolor". I'm trying to really examine the textures to see if there's any difference, but I notice no improv...

Then we would already be getting the PS5 by now. That's definitely too early. I think the PS4 should have released by Early 2012

I don't like the first, but the next 2 were great with the third game in particular being one of my favorite games of the last generation

But you realize it's early access, which means the game will not be perfectly polished and will be incomplete and will be missing features. So, I'd rather wait until the game is actually complete and polished before having my first experience with it.

I wouldn't call it punishing like the video suggests, but it is certainly harder than pretty much any other action RPG I've played as they all tend to be very easy.

I'm not understanding where this is that you get it for $12.49 so I can let my friend know since I already have it

The Last of Us is honestly an extremely easy game. Hell, hard feels like what normal should have been. It's very forgiving too with extremely plentiful checkpoints and save points all over the place on hard, normal, and easy.

Doesn't always work that way. For example, The reveal for the first uncharted game looked better than the final product, but that's not the hardware's fault because Uncharted 2 and 3 looked better than the Uncharted 1 reveal so....

Highly doubt it. The New Order was 51 GB

It's not a sexist comment that I made. There are more men that play "core" video games than there are women that play "core" video games. There are studies that say stuff like 48% of gamers are actually girls", but those kinds of studies include grandmas that play candy crush once a week. That's not a "real" gamer. That's a casual gamer.

The reason call of duty is so popular is because it's such a casual game for casual gamer...

Came out too early? Last gen is the longest a console generation has lasted in history before new consoles were introduced. They came too late. If you really think they came out too early and wanted to wait even longer for the new consoles, then you want technology to stagnate because most developers focus on consoles and so pc devs certainly would make better looking of games, but they'd be held back to a point by the ancient PS3 and Xbox 360 hardware. Video game technology would come to...

I thought the multiplayer was atrocious in Gears 1 and 2. Gears of War 3 was the only one that was actually somewhat balanced.

Gears 1 and 2 were just shotgun gibfests all day everyday. The third one is where people actually used different weapons and they could actually stand a chance against a person just running in with a shotgun like a little baby. Shotgun abuse was much less of a problem in the 3rd game and it was all the better for it. The hammerburst was ACTUALLY effe...

Call of duty has never had a punishing difficulty curve. You must suck at shooters in general to think it was ever punishing. Ever since the first modern warfare, it's always been about who has the better gun and/or who sees who first. It's just like a guaranteed kill when you shoot first basically because of the fast pace and extremely low time to kill. Call of Duty is easy. It's the easiest online shooter ever. That's why the series has reached such mainstream popularity to ...
