It really hasn't. It's not a bad game, but it's no longer this spectacular revelation it was 8 years ago when the PS3 was struggling and uncharted was the first game to show off the real capabilities of the machine. It was also one of the first games or the first to do motion capture and voice over in the same session, leading to more credible and believable performances, but nowadays that's so much more common and so Uncharted 1 doesn't stand out in the same way it used t...
I can't imagine how beautiful that scene will be to look at and play on ps4
I like Heavenly Sword, but it's not an amazing game by any stretch of the imagination. It's no God of War in terms of quality, but it has a certain style that can't be denied and elevates it above being just decent. It's never a game I'd list as one of my favorite PS3 games ever, but it is most certainly a game I'll look back fondly on with memories.
I think the cargo place sequence was better. I imagine some people only voted the train opening over the cargo plane because of nostalgia. It being the first real set piece of the series and the opening moments to a now critically acclaimed game is likely what swayed the favor although the cargo plane sequence is significantly more exciting and technically impressive.
I'll be getting it too and although I'm disappointed in the lack of multiplayer, that won't hinder my enjoyment of the collection because the single player was always better in the games anyways. The ONE thing that upsets me is not necessarily the missing multiplayer as a component of the collection, but it's the promise of how good the multiplayer could have looked. The Last of Us Remastered I feel dropped the ball on that. The single player got a pretty good amount of attent...
Hell no. Not even close. The first Uncharted had better writing and characters along with more organically and better designed levels. It also isn't plagued by the constant trashy overuse of the vita's touch screen for superfluous actions. It also had the dullest puzzles. Such an incompetent game. The first is better in every way
It not being made by Naughty Dog isn't an excuse for the subpar writing and characters. And if it hadn't overused the gimicky vita features and kept them to a minimum for only things that made logical sense like Killzone, it would have been an overall better game, though still not as good as any of the console games.
Killzone Mercenary was a gem. Uncharted Golden Abyss was far from it.
I wanted to like it a lot, but I didn't. It was very very below par for the series. Nothing it did was as well executed as any of the other games. It also has the most terrible excuses for boss fights. Literally just swiping up, down, left, or right on the touch screen. It's a really underwhelming game. When my friends and I talk about it, we'll joke around and say Golden Abyss never happened because we all equally dislike it.
I'm getting a lot of dislikes, b...
I'm a fan of the series. One of my favorite franchises of the past decade, but I think Golden Abyss was a mediocre game and I'm not bothered by its exclusion from the collection. It's easily the worst in the series with the worst level design, worst characters, and worst writing along with gimicky puzzles. Such a disgrace to the series. It's a shame because the gunplay itself felt very good for a handheld title. If only the rest of it was as well made.
A 5/10 is not broken!?? A 5/10 is average or below average
I don't know why anyone is surprised about halo 6. At E3 YEARS AGO, when halo 4 was announced, it was announced as part of a trilogy. If you count, Halo 4, 5, and 6. That's a trilogy. 3. It's not news that there's be a halo 6. This is years old news. They said 343 was doing a new trilogy and well here we are.
Uncharted 3 is disappointing in comparison to 2. It didn't live up to the monumental expectations, but it still is a very good game in its own right and even exceeded some of what was so good about 2. It still has the great writing; some of the funniest moments in the series is in 3 and 2 was praised for its set pieces and 3 has the best set pieces in the franchise with the cargo plane and the whole ship sequence. It also had the most interesting hand to hand combat of all 3 games. Sure, ...
Ummm what? Not every game needs to be tough???? What kind of ludicrous idea is that? Some experiences lend themselves to being punishing. Some experiences lend themselves to being tough, but not excessive. Some experiences lend themselves to being easy. It all depends on the kind of game and the story you're trying to tell so no. What you said isn't an inherent problem to games as a medium. It's inherent to a different kind of game design. Look at games like Journey where there is...
The description says Uncharted 2....This is the first one
I loved Half Life 2 despite playing it years later. The only issue it has is the level design is sometimes very unclear and leaves you completely fumbling around until you find the right way, but the combat encounters and use of the gravity gun and other things for simple puzzles along the way and such along with a slower pace to some areas, etc..made it a very engaging game. You were never really doing the same thing for too long.
Good game. The story is trash and there's repetition to be had in the environments, but the battle system is glorious. If that exact battle system existed in another overall better made game it could go down in history as one of the best rpg's ever
There are plenty of cross platform games that are 30 fps on both generations, but push way better visuals, draw distances, and physics calculation, and destruction on current gen sooo...I still don't get your point.
If it's a straight port, it should be 60 fps easily. If it's much more than just a port, then 30fps is fine
There's more to more powerful hardware than framerate. There's visuals, physics, draw distance, AI, etc..it's not all just framerate that makes a difference. For all we know the PS4 version is leagues ahead visually over the Vita and PS3 versions and therefore it running at 30fps will not matter so much because it'll look significantly better, or it might just look the exact same only running at higher resolutions. If it's just a 1080p port, there's no reason it can...
I really want this game and it looks so pretty, but I know I won't get it because of the online only nonsense. EA is known to shut down servers for their games past a certain point. They a few years back shut down servers for a bunch of games, including Burnout Revenge. What if I want to play it again for fun years down the road for a trip down memory lane or if my internet craps out or the servers suck when all I want to do is make single player progress? It's too much of a hassle
Because they were re-released with changes made to gameplay to some of them such as improved shooting mechanics for uncharted 1 which had the worst shooting of the trilogy. If it's re-released, it needs a Ew-review because sometimes standards change and expectations raise. People want to know if playing for the first time, it'll still be a worthwhile investment.
