Instead of "I know for a fact," I think you meant to say "I think."
Wow. Just wow. Normally you have a suit or uniform or something that makes you similar to the character in question; but here, she IS Elizabeth. Amazing job.
My opinion of this list:
Fable: Not interested in ANY of the series, do not want these on the ps3.
Alan Wake: very good game, own in on 360. I wouldn't dislike if this was ported over, but I've already played it
Halo: don't want to see a halo game on the ps3. They're fine where they are. I loved the original Halo, then they kept going down and down in my opinion. No thanks
Left 4 Dead: this might be fun
I have played them multiple times, I just couldn't get the story in the 3rd. Besides, which gods betrayed him? Like 2, and that was his own fault. I don't know ... I guess I'm just not into the bad guy being the "hero," you know? I guess I need more of a moral center in my games (good guys win, bad guys lose, etc).
The list is pretty much on the mark. I will agree strongly with one and disagree with one though.
GoW3, for me, was disappointing as well. Most people will argue that the game is amazing and great, but it fell so flat for me. I loved the first 2, some of my favorite games on the ps2. GoW3 had amazing graphics and gameplay, but I need some kind of story holding it together, especially when there's gratuitous violence. You can argue that a shooter has a reason you're ki...
Can't argue with that. That's why I've been going back to GoG many a time recently.
I don't see it as a terribly bad thing. It's not a GOOD thing, obviously, but I think it's meant more to punish cheaters and griefers. They can't hide behind more than 1 name, so they're easily caught and banned.
Besides, would you want to put in the months/years it would take to unlock/level up everything TWICE? That would be crazy.
Look man, here's the thing. You can moan and complain about money and prices all you want, but this is a capitalist society, it's going to be like this forever, and probably will only get worse.
Now, OF COURSE game companies want to make money. I'm not going to defend Activision, because I don't agree with them milking a franchise like they do with CoD, but I see your point about games being expensive and online passes costing a lot. BUT there are alternatives...
I think people are taking this out of proportion (in THIS case). The entire single player campaign is playable. There's extra content that is locked unless you buy it new. But you can play the WHOLE campaign. It's like DLC that comes with the game.
Now, besides this case, this type of situation is actually worse to me than locking the multiplayer, because I'm a single-player guy more. If Uncharted 3, for example, had it's whole single player experience locked...
Uh, I don't want to be THAT emotionally involved. Last thing you want after a hard days work is to come home, sit down, relax, and then play a game that you feel like you're going to die any minute. I'm sure it's not really like that, obviously, but still, it's not what games are for.
I know exactly what you mean. Bad Company 2 is my first battlefield game (so sue me) and I'm still playing it; there's just so many ways to play it that it doesn't really get boring, unlike CoD-style play (which is almost all about running and gunning). You get bored of being Assault in BC2? Play an engineer, get in a tank. Tired of Vehicles? Pick up a sniper-rifle and call in mortars. Great game :)
I'm already getting BF3, so that's a no brainer (for PC). I MIGHT eventually pick up MW3 if a lot of my friends who are incapable of playing BF3 end up getting it too, just so I can play with them. But anyone I know who has the balls and skill to play a battlefield game, we're getting BF3.
I know people are picking one and bashing the other. But if you're not getting both, it's probably for the best. If you're a BF3 guy and you get MW3, it'll proba...
You know, a little nerve gas never hurt anyone ... uh, a little tear gas never hurt anyone. I would be chucking that out there like crazy.
Yeah but if the hardware was strong enough to do 60 and still be at 1080p? That would be so nice. But difficult, I know.
What are you talking about? There's tons of good FPS games. In fact, there's so many good FPS games out there, that no matter what other type of games you like, you will probably find an FPS that has those elements (RPG, sci-fi, military/tactical, parkour, adventure, 3rd person, etc). What types of games do you play?
Um, ok now we're going a little far. I'm all for a bit of hype here and there, but c'mon. We have too many shooters that can be said "changed the genre forever." At best, it's going to be a great game, I don't see how it's going to change anything. I'm guessing it's not going to be an easy game to get into (no easy kills like CoD, so you have to work at it).
Here's hoping it'll be spectacular, but I'm not planning on it b...
Native 1080p and 60hz. My eyes would say thank you.
The game is free to play right now? You still have to buy the game though, right?
Actually, now that I think about it, they should make this a free to play game. For myself, just based on the reputation this game has and the scores it got on release, I would NEVER play it if I had to pay anything; there's no point, there's better games out there. If they make it free to play, it will at least get a lot more people into it and then they can charge micro-transactions.
I agree for the most part. Emotional ending last with you longer, and make a deeper impact. Also it shows the dev's have the balls to kill off their main character, instead of stinging a series along forever.
Future games: next Halo: Master Chief should die; next Duke Nukem (god forbid): Duke dies (probably get a lot of disagrees for that, but for real, he's a relic, let him die in peace :)
