Ugh, this reminds me of Elemental from Stardock: crap game that they are working hard on making good, but it's just not working and they still waste time on it. Is anyone still playing FF14? Is it any good right now? I'm curious if people are still paying for it and playing it.

I get what you're saying, but you took my comment the wrong way. It doesn't bother ME that much about what they do. The article is about what Sony might have done wrong with changing it, and Resistance is a much more competitive online game, hence, a bundle-seller. What they need is a good split screen 3d game that has a lot of hype behind it, and that's resistance 3 (or Uncharted 3).

I will be getting resistance 3 regardless, but it would have been nice for Sony...

I know, but the feel that "this came with my bundle" is gone, you know? And not just me, because I will be getting 2 copies of Resistance 3, for me and my bro. What about the people out there who like shooters and don't play racing games? This bundle might have sold copies of Resistance 3 and sold some tv's where it might not have previously. It's Sony who should care more than us.

Why not have multiple bundles? Your pick of games? That would be cool.

And let's not forget the fact that a Move-based star wars game wouldn't HAVE to be on rails. i.e. you can move forward and backwards.

Not possibly, they did. Resistance would have sold these bundles quite a bit; Motorstorm, not as much. I could see myself buying it for Resistance 3, but not for a racing game, as much as I like the series. Now, if they updated it to be bundled with Uncharted 3 .... well now.

EXACTLY. I myself find it weird that people care a lot about those things like dogtags and skins (I'm not making fun, I just find it strange), but I find it downright CRAZY that people will complain about that stuff as if a lack of it as a pre-order bonus will make them not buy the game :/

The game and the free maps are all I care about.

I don't find it a mess; it might be a bit complicated, but that's why people have brains. Just see what you like and pre-order it there. It's not like you're missing out on much. If you want the map pack, get it anywhere. If you want certain other things, amazon, gamestop, etc. is the place for you. Most everything is available later anyway, so what's the big deal? Oh, I know, just another way to rant and complain, the legacy of this generation (among others).

My interest in this bundle has gone down dramatically. I'm sure Motorstorm is a good game, (I have pacific rift) but Resistance 3 is going to move these bundles more. Here's the thing: you need a good split screen game to bundle in here. Motorstorm might be good, but resistance has a good online community and good split screen play, so it would have been the better choice to show off what the tv can do.

Maybe they'll let Uncharted 3 be bundled down the line. It&#...

For the second time today ... this is news? It's been discounted on amazon for like 6 months or more.

5358d ago 0 agree1 disagreeView comment

Wow, that's REALLY old news. You can't call yourself a ps3 gamer and not know this already. This guy must have seen all this talk about 720p and 1080p resolutions and thought he could get hits over this.

Anyway, like others have said, there's a BIG difference between having a 720p native resolution and having 1080p native. It's also a big difference between having a native 1080p and when you say that you can play a game in higher resolution (1080p) but it'...

Well, yeah, I never played that, so I can't comment on that game. I just think for Crysis 2, and the story they were trying to tell and the location, this is as good as they could have done. Not to say they couldn't have improved the story or fixed the bugs from the get go, but still, I think they did fine with the game.

I don't know what a lot of you people are complaining about with Crysis 2. I played it on the ps3 and the PC, and it was great on both. My computer isn't the best, and the PC version kicked my ass, but it was playable and fun. The ps3 version was great, and I thought the graphics was very impressive for the ps3.

The only complaint I could understand is a weaker story, but that's never been the focus of Crysis. An open world game wouldn't have worked with the ...

They hear it, but they're laughing at it. CoD games sell more and more, so what do they care? They might start releasing 2 every year.

I've said this before, but I'll say it again. These online passes, IMO, are to stop ONE thing: Gamestop selling a new game used 1 week - 2 months down the line for $5 less than the retail value. Of course this means that Gamestop takes in all $55 for the purchase, and the publishers and developers make nothing. But you'll be paying tax on top of it, so it's almost like paying for the full game. This is something I'm totally against, and there should be a rule that they can...

Man, I really hope they deliver on this game. I have faith they'll make a good game, but my belief has been wavering that they might not KNOW what fans are actually looking for in this game. Mass Effect fans WANT rpg elements (items, weapons, etc), not dumbed down action. Now, ME2 was good, but in my opinion, not as good as the first. But the first had issues as well, if you guys remember.

I just hope they fix what was wrong about the first, add a lot more to the 2nd, an...

Eh, I think Amazon has the worst bonuses, but they don't charge tax like Best Buy or a pre-order fee like Gamestop... what to do....

5361d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Well, they have that map pack that you get. But I guess that's a pre-order bonus, so that doesn't count. Positive incentive ... hmm ... you won't have to buy an Online Pass?

5361d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

"post release." ... Um, I think I want those pre-order maps, so I'm fine with getting it on Origin. This might actually be true, though, because this whole thing between the 2 was about distribution of digital pre-order content and purchases, right? If Steam get it later, they don't have to worry about those, because they won't have them.

But then how would people buy the maps later? On Steam or through EA? I'm confused.

5361d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Hopefully people don't use this as ANOTHER excuse to start complaining about the game. Every EA game, almost, has an Online Pass. Eventually almost every game will have them, so we have to get used to it.

Don't want to buy the game for full price, but still want the online? Wait for a sale or wait for the price to drop.
