Every day that goes by is just another day that Blu-Ray gains on DVD. The more Blu-Ray sells the faster it goes down in price. BD players go down in price so will the PS3 because of additional reduction in production costs. It's a beautiful thing seeing technology progress and the effect it has not only in the entertainment industry but in the computing and video game industry as well.
IF there is a XBox 720 and IF MS decides on sticking with DVD9 and not going with Blu-Ray then it will be a laughing stock. Blu-Ray will offer up to if not over 400 gig on one disc by the time the next consoles come out from either camp. To not include a BD drive would be suicide.
I love android but the G1 is well.. meh. I look forward to see what the Sony/Ericsson camp puts out.

The job loss is horrible especially during this time of year. I hope those that find themselves unemployed can gain employment quickly for the sakes of their families and those that depend on them. As for how it will effect the PS3 I would venture to say very little to not at all. Sony is seeing excellent YoY growth in the gaming division from all the Playstation product lines and will continue to especially with reduced manufacturing costs on all models particularly the PS3.
